The coaching situation needs resolving soon as. If we sign Keef, I will take that as a sign we are maintaining Kear and Co which will be a monumental error IMO.

Senior will be on a big wedge, we could use the cash much better as we already have players who are decent in the centres.

Upgrade the contracts of Walshaw, George and Murphy with the money rather than sign Senior. We need to be sending a positive message to these young players that they have a future at the cllub.

There is no doubt that Senior has been a top qualiry player but what kind of message does that give to somebody like young Walshaw. " Sorry Lucas, but you've got to wait another couple of years until Keith has retired". He'd be off down the galpharm as quick as a shot and who would blame him?

We might not be shopping at Harrods just yet, but we can stop shopping at Farm Foods and aim for Lewis's or Debenhams.

Aside from Senior being more decorated and having a greater international pedigree and SL experience how would his signing now differ from the signing or Morrison 2 years ago?

Senior was already past-it two years ago. He stood out as a weak link in a pretty good Leeds side then. Even Leeds can no longer carry him these days!

How can Wakefield say we are looking to move forward and not make the same mistakes , when they are even contemplating signing Senior.We have been given the the chance to prove that we are a progressive club. But here we are chasing after a player, deemed not good enough to stay at a club, to which he has given stirling sevice.

totally agree with Wrencat, although i do believe in giving a player a chance to prove themselves on the pitch before we judge them too much, I can't help worry that we have just 3 years to prove we want to be a constant top 6 team and not one that has a good season every now and again. Senior might be good for a few games and teach the young lads a thing or two but does he have the stamina left to complete a full season and help do enough to get us into the play offs for a cost that is realistic . . . I'm not so sure
