I'm not too down hearted after tonight. It's a game we never expected to win, and yes we got beat comfortably, but Saints will also do that to better teams than us this season. We haven't got the players to give the top sides a game, but if we keep picking up points from the likes of Quins, Catalan etc then the season will have been a success in my eyes. We're in a better position now than we ever thought we would be back in January.

Down the other end of the field but a full compliment of entrants.........was a bit like its a knockout almost expected some bloke in a fat sumo costume to come running on!! Seemed something to do with Kevin Brown to start off with and ended up with Bailey and O Donnell getting sent off. The only thing Leeds seemed to hold their own in all night was the brawl!

Did Jeffries go off injured at some stage? Other than a crap inside pass in the first half I never noticed him.

With Wakey going into administration and being stripped of their better players by other clubs. Wakey have won as many games as Hull FC, Hull KR and Salford and more than crusaders. You take out the 4 points deduction that kear could do nothing about and Wakey would be in joint 10th just 2 points off a playoff place.

Well Wigan for one will be thanking Wakey tonight Graham, Flannery and Gaskill all crocked for a while.

Think this game needs to be put to bed! Saints are on form and capitalised on our errors and showed class.

Time to back the team over the Easter period and get behind them big time!

They looked jaded in the warm up, BJ is injured and should not realy have played.

Clan you are spot on they've pushed and fought every game this season and its taken its toll, they simply ran out of steam.

But they are Wakefield and even though one or two came up short last night i'll glady support them.

That would probably be down to all those knock ons' and forward passes' he gave, unlike the rest of the team that were magnificent

The whole team were poor, but at least they were involved. As I said Jeffries appeared to be none existent which is why I asked whether he got an injury and went off.

From what I've seen on Twitter this morning the lads know they weren't great last night, and know they have to improve for Friday. I think the fact that they're acknowledging that it wasn't the best will be a positive and, hopefully, give them a bit of momentum and impetus in training this week and the game next Friday.

Worst performance of the season. Apart from Saints kicking the ball into Deans hand we never looked like scoring. Effort yes, but way too many mistakes and non-existant defence out wide. Once again a lack of quality was there for all to see. I agree Penny has to go, he is terrible. He isn't the only one who isn't up to standard but he is the biggest liability. Lee needs to switch to interchange hooker and something has to be done about our terrible defence on the flanks. It happens time and time again and nothing seems to be being done to rectify it. Its ok JK chaging the players but the system also has to change.

It seems that way, but I'm sure in training, Kear does a lot to rectify to defense problems, it's there for every everyone to see and even though people have different opinions on Kear, he's not a idiot. Every game I watch, it's the same thing, people shooting out of the line and missing tackles or making the gap for the oppo to run through. I think, a lot, is down to the players in those positions making bad calls when under pressure and forgetting what he's been doing in training. When you've got a weak link in defense in the backs, he can make players around him look bad.

Just shows how much attention you were paying, why single just him out of a bad bunch last night, any player that puts the jersey on should be shown respect and that includes all of them whether you wanted Jeffries back at the club or not.

I'd guess some players are expected to perform at a higher level time and time again. One of the young lads has a poor game, or makes a mistake, and you put it down to experience. One of the few 'stars' goes missing and they will have more questions asked of them.

Point taken, but you cannot play football without it, and if players insist on keep making mistakes by giving the ball away even Paul Daniels would not be able to conjure up anything, I'm not blaming the young and inexperienced players, but by the same laws you should not be putting the blame on somebody who lets face it according to some on here should never have been allowed back to the club irrespective of how he plays.

I singled him out as t-r-i-n-i-t-y said he is a senior player who in a team full of youngster's should be stepping up to the plate. Tommy Lee was awful last night too but he got involved, Rinaldi too wasn't great and made a number of errors but again when on the pitch he tried his damnedest. Jeffries disappeared.

Nah, we were never going to win that game end of, Saints were really good. The worst game was against Salford, we could and should have won that. That was a real two lost points.
