Leeds chances have just got a bit slimmer
Following the latest round of Betfred Super League and League One fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:
Sam Hall (Castleford Tigers) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Suaia Matagi (Castleford Tigers) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Rhyse Martin (Leeds Rhinos) – Grade A High Tackle – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Luke Gale (Hull FC) – Grade A Disputes Decision – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Matty Storton (Hull KR) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Liam Whitton (Cornwall) – Grade B Foul Abuse Towards Referee – 1 Match Penalty Notice

I for one hope you rip them a new one. Hate hudds with an unhealthy passion.. Just hope their pet poodle Kendall isn't in charge

Can't stand Huddersfield, they were complete parasites when we were in financial difficulty and they're always all high and mighty about how much better they are than us. Not difficult when you've got someone pumping an extra million quid a year in and when you've also taken a huge chunk from the RFL to "merge" with Sheffield and then hung them out to dry.

No. And even if they did, I'd still support Salford against them.

There isn't any Yorks/Lancs rivalry, they live in their own county of Hillybillyland up in the hills, nobody wants to play them at the Millenium weekend all the Yorks clubs wouldn't play them in the derby games despite being offered financial incentives, so you've no worries on that score

100% agree, haven't been there since I had me car keyed on St Andrews Rd, tell a lie, I've been there once since then and believe it or not I walked there from Bellevue, took about 2 an half hours but the car escaped unharmed

Agree same as Hull with Gateshead if there was no football Stadum involved both clubs would have gone years ago, or in Championship at the best

Had a Hudds fan try his hardest to convince me at the game, cos he was "in the know", that it was Sheffield who were bankrupt and Hudds were sacrificed to save them.

The referees spend a lot of the game gesturing and telling players to get up and play the ball for far more than just a few fingers resting on a shoulder. It was poor from McQueen but ever worse by Kendall.

It was hits a ridiculous decision. It probably only cost us a few grand in the bank instead of our superleague status.

Don't forget what Watson said last week about Myler, would love to ask him what he thought about MacQueen or as he taken any action with him.

Let’s not forget that we basically got a £1.2 million hospitality block for free and many more £thousands of unpaid for goods and services too, so we’re no angels either.

That's only because would have cost builders more to knock it down than it was worth .Though when Mr Carter took over the club he paid out to all creditors ,or bills that were out standing .Think that would have cost more than thousands of pounds .Any though of Huddersfield not been relegated when they finished bottom four year on the trot ,because they were playing in a football stadium .

I think that's a little unfair to quote Avenger. All he was saying is that it's not really fair to have a go at other clubs for doing something to save their club at the expense of others when we've done similar, admittedly on a smaller scale.
He's just showing the full picture.

At the same time as the Hospitality block and the administration that followed. Lots of local businesses and staff from the club didn’t get paid.

Just to give the full picture. MC paid everyone when he took over as far as I remember. He could have claimed administration but took the hit to help out suppliers and improve our broken rep.

For the full picture, The Hospitality block was defaulted upon under the Pearman regime, After that Administration, Ted did the deal for it to remain but he subsequently put us back in an insolvency event which lead to Glover taking us over.

Elston then ran the club into the ground again leading to another potential Administration which had it happened would have seen us relegated to the 3rd tier of the sport. Chris Brereton and Mike Carter took on the club and avoided the Administration for a variety of reasons which I’ve posted about before. They made deals with creditors and paid everyone something with some receiving full payment from the club.

What’s that got to do with anything?

Regarding the hospitality block I think you might be wrong unless I am. At that time I’m sure the club entered into a CVA, and although the % in the £ was quite small, the club did make some payment to it’s creditors.
