6 figure sum for Kirmond? You won't be getting many of those regularly you should of taken it and lowered your debts.

Sorry shortfall in income,Rangi Chase was sold for £112500 who in my opinion is a bigger name than Kirmond so if your chairman is being offered 100k+mid take it if I were him. Like I said he's the man to save Wakefield trinity and I don't think he's scared of making hard decisions.

IIRC Rangi only had a year left on his contract so the price that Cas could demand from Dr K was limited by that fact. Kirmond signed a new contract a couple of months ago so an offer of £100,001 doesn't represent a good value offer.

I disagree....DK will be on £100k + salary and plus a £100k transfer fee, surely there is a good quality replacement about (Just as DK was when he first came) on half his salary (£50k) which would certainly put a dent in the £300k shortfall.
The problem is that when the club feel like they have no choice other than to sell the kind Doctor's original offer may not stand.....

The figure you pay for him will also take account of the salary they are committed to. In Rangi's case I believe Cas put the kitchen sink and all into his contract and he won't play for Salford for less. As a result, Salford can use the fact that they are helping Cas with their squad building by releasing them from a contract they couldn't really afford - so the £112500, plus the release of his salary commitments is a massive turnaround for Cas and one showing now in the number of new signings coming in.

So how much are Wakefield looking at saving with Kirmond if he went for say £120000? What wages/bonuses is the guy on? You'd be near enough sorted if you sell him wouldn't you?

Also in a salary capped sport it should be very public knowledge what players contracts are worth to be transparent and align with te regulations.....NHL is a perfect example of this....all players contracts are public information, including bonuses and addiitonal clauses....salary cap does stand around $50 million though

Why does it have to be public information to be transparent and auditable? Most companies don' relaease that sort of information to the public. So long as it's released to the auditors, there's no problem.
