It's not worth any thing really, but you could excuse those that shouted at the ground as a spontaneous reaction, you on the other hand had time to digest your bitterness and calm down before posting, by your own admission you realise that you were over the top with your condemnation of Grix, your entitled to your opinion and have given it, I don't see why you keep trying to justify it.

Have you never made a mistake in your professional life? If so, did you have insults hurled at you by your clients? Were you called upon to resign and vilified on social media?

| Grix has been our player of the season in my opinion. He's a top class professional who played a massive part on our improvement this season.

| Sadly, the posters on here who have relentlessly knocked Grix for his one error in the last game, are simply displaying intention to find a scapegoat at all costs. Anybody with half a brain can see what a creative player Grix has been in most games this season. OK he made a mistake, which ultimately cost us the game but we were only in that position because of his quick thinking earlier in the game.
For gods sake get off the bloke's back, grow up and move on.

| Grix made a terrible howler, I'm sure nobody is more painfully aware of that than he is - do people think he did it on purpose.
If Grix comes out and plays on thursday in front of the trolls who've slagged him off. Then IMHO he's a far braver man than any of them will ever be.
It's just a game, no one died!

| I've just watched the Wakey v Whinos game , I don't save games we've lost, Scott Grix was outstanding, as were all the 17 to be honest. But what I noticed was that Golding who was at FB had a mare and was removed from the field of play, I'm sure that would have done him a world of good at least CC doesn't have a knee jerk reaction and do the same . Like what's been posted earlier I'm sure no one was hurting more than Scott and he will make up for it tomorrow night

| EVERYBODY needs to get behind Scott and the rest of the team tomorrow.
After all we are supposed to be Trinity SUPPORTERS.
There will be enough pain just dealing with a full strength Hull FC.
Come on Trin !

Just shows how consistent he is. Has been voted either 1st, 2nd or 3rd best player in most matches he has played for us this season. Those posters giving him grief should hang their heads in shame.

| I prefer Jowitt to Grix but that's just a personal opinion, I have no problem with CC having a different opinion and will support whatever team he selects.
Two things though, firstly, those saying we wouldn't be in the position we are without Grix are probably doing Max an injustice. Had he started the same games Grix has this year then I think we would be in the same position, although clearly we will never know.
Secondly and mainly, i would hate to think that not being played this year has pushed Max out. I know there were some offers for him last year (Warrington was one I think?) and if a club came at the end of the season and he wanted to leave as he wants to be playing regular then who could blame him really. It really would be sad to see 1 or 2 years of Grix potentially cost us a decade+ of Jowitt playing for us.

| The sooner Jowitt is back in, the better for me and that has been my opinion since it was announced that we'd signed Grix. Max put in some great performances in attack last year and was never responsible for game changing howlers. How could he have developed if given the chance this year?
Last Thursday was an example of chickens coming home to roost.

| Here we are a week on and the Grix bashers are still at it. For gods sake give it a rest and stop crucifying the man. It's a sad day when the coach has to say he's appalled and doesn't want to be associated with some of our supporters. As anyone stopped to think how all this could be affecting Max. He has openly said how much help he has received from Grix. It must put him in an awkward position when they train together. There's an almighty important game tonight and Scott probably doesn't know what type of reception he will receive.

| I don't think CC could bring Jowitt in even if he wanted to, the lad has barely played, will be miles of match sharpness so to throw him into a key pressure game would be a massive ask.

He'll get nothing but support from me, and I suspect yourself and the overwhelming majority.

| I'm not super keen on Chester's statement - it seems like a massive overreaction to a few over-emotional post-game Tweets, and casts a bit of a shadow over the club and the vast majority of supporters. Visit every board on here, and there's always a small section of fans berating one player or another - I don't recall a coach feeling the need to use the media to respond.
I agree that some of the comments about Grix were ridiculous, but unless I've missed something, it wasn't anything worth the Coach wading in - just gives it oxygen and makes us all look bad.

I agree with this.
Abuse on internet forums, whilst not acceptable, is a sad part of the modern world and it seems that no one is immune from grief, more so if they are in the public eye or, entertainers etc.
Some of the stuff that people put out there is toe curling and fro sure, most of the idiots typing it wouldn't be brave enough to criticise face to face, never mind to the levels that make it onto any public forum.
It struck me that Chesters words had more to do with publicly backing his player and trying to prevent some of the extreme stuff from coming to the fore in future, lets face it, it's totally unnecessary.
