Max has been great at FB but I still prefer Rocky.

Captain and vice captain on the field whenever possible - no question about it in my mind

Jowett for me every day. Max is the best passer of a ball in the club and sets his outside backs away in space. Rocky is quicker but his running line puts the outside backs in a cul de sac when he passes on to them.

Anyone else noticed that when Hampshire plays half back opposition dont score down that side as he has the pace to get across. For me Miller has been poor this season. Jowitt has been good, Brough we need for his kicking game, Hampshire is the class act he has to play. Easy decision for me , Miller and Reynolds miss out.
Hampshire represents something we have not had a Trinity since I would say Nigel Wright and that is a World Class player, top player of his generation, a match winner, a half with genuine pace who wins matches for you with individual brilliance, If we can get him signed on a lomg term contract it will be the most significant resigning we have made in several generations.

Mate he's not world class he seriously isn't, might be one day but miles off yet. However I'd say he's playing better than Miller was when injured but thats just my opinion.

Its a tough choice and I'm glad that I dont have to make it! But I bet CC will be glad to get everyone back!
For me, you have to go back to the team that started as first choice - so Broughy, Milky back in and Rocky at FB.
As has been said would be especially hard on Max as he has been excellent.

Well, more problems may be on the horizon, it is reported that we are interested in London's full back Alex Walker, if we were to sign him ? What would we do with 4 full backs & or three front line full backs & one loaned out ?
I would rather have Mason again next year than Alex Walker ?
Any thoughts ?

All things being equal -
If Millers back, its a straight swap for Renolds.
When both Miller and Brough are back, Rocky goes to FB....and that's that.
That's my best squad, Happy squads are a tougher circle to square.
Its all about Miller tbh, his recovery, fitness and form dictate the "best" squad.

Brough has to play for his kicking alone and Rocky has made himself extremely difficult to leave out, Miller is our best 6 replaced only by somebody filling in, Brough or Renolds.

Miller is too strong in defence to leave out IMO. How many knock on's does he force? He is a bit cheeky with ripping the ball out but gets away with it.

I might be missing something here but who then is the only FB under contract next season?

I still think Rocky pips Max to fullback but Max has been great. But like mentioned, Rocky also has that ability to break a line at any moment unlike Max. It's a close one. Max has played some of the best rugby I've seen him play over the last 3 or 4 games. It's intersting that we are interested in Walker...

Agree with that, Jowit has obviously matured as a player the past couple of years and as a result is all around game has progressed, but personally I sill think Rocky offers that bit of an x-factor that Max doesn't atm at FB. But hey it's a good place to be and exactly the kind of headaches a coach will prefer to ones worrying about naming a fit 19 players.
