Grix sent the ref flying but the ref just got in the way, abblett did the same early in the season and had a 2 match ban.

Gale pats thaler on the shoulder early in the year and not even a caution.... Does the same yesterday and gets charged grade A.

1 game at a time. Had you have won yesterday you'd have gone 3rd momentarily and Phil Clarke described you as the form team in SL. I'm happy with the start we've made but appereciate there is a long old season ahead and we need to be a bit smarter at times but I feel optimistic but I'm not booking my bus to London just yet.

Can't believe this thread, so Gale touched the ref!
We got beat, move on.
Some very sad, bitter and juvenile people about.

I am chilled, just astounded that there are several topic grasping at straws about why we lost, from the ref to offside.
I stopped blaming the ref about 30 years ago and know when we are our own worst enemy and when we have been beaten by a better side.

The topic became un pertinent the moment a member measuring contest occurred. Tbf the thread reeks of sour grapes, I'll be surprised if Gale gets anything.

If that kind of contact with the ref is an offence, why the hell don't they just penalise it on the field? I can understand being cited for levelling the ref, a la Hock or Houston, but if a player pats his shoulder or pulls his arm, surely the ref can just blow up and award a penalty on the spot?!

Who knows, we have all seen the banter between the ref and players having a laugh, the touchy feely acts of certain players may boarder on to this. Or maybe the ref didn't see the incident as an offence or he might not of even noticed it.

He barely touched the ref, a simple warning from the ref on the field should suffice.

It happens too often with Galr that was the issue. Grade A. He will use his EGP so wont miss a game. Hopefully stop him from doing it.

I agree it should be a penalty if they are citing accidental contact.
The refs should be protected so I will always side with the ref. but if it is penalised immediately it will just calm things down on the day.

Been waiting for Gale to get cited for it all season, he does it most games. Will do him good I think and might, hopefully, stop him from doing it. It's embarrassing to watch at times.

As good as he is, Gale does suffer from a bit of "Little Man Syndrome" exacerbated by "Early Onset Baldness". The shape of his head also means he can't go for the shaved option so has to rely on the comb over.
Must take some guts to come out of the house, especially on windy days.
