Although you are absolutely right and that team surely can't win - it's usually these patchwork teams who get wins against top teams whilst our full strength teams get tonked.

I wouldn't bet on it but you never know - that said I fear Saints have got their worst performances out of their system.

Nowt to lose in giving Goulding a run out, wildie is not a scrum half and ideally we need to have 4 Forwards on bench, plus mellars cud cover three quarters if needed so no need to have an extra back on the bench

Both you and me have seen worse teams (on paper) than that travel to Saints, players missing gives other game time and you never know.

Nothing to lose and everthing to gain.

Who knows Saints might turn up and think 'this game is going to be easy, we're playing a team with youngsters and alot of key players out' or then again they haven't won at home this year but I'll be going and is looking forward to it. Just give a good performance and Im happy.

Although we are extremly light up front, negatives can always be turned into positives. For example Melbourne storm play with a light weight pack compared to most NRL sides, yet have huge effect at play the ball speed and other areas. Now i am not saying we are Melbourne storm, but if we can utilise this it will enable us to play abit quicker and try catch saints out. Our defence is another story. Craig Bellamy over and out.

I'd imagine Trout and Annekin could both play a full game or near it so spell the others and keep those lads on.

Lightweight I know but the order would be go out enjoy and throw the ball about I would probably rest Collis but would also like Cowling to get a game.Aiton on the bench gives him a bit of a rest from his normal full 80 mins.Need to use Mellars speed to effect and Wilkes to get his backside in gear and would have recalled Walshaw on the bench instead of Trout.Keep in mind I think its one we cant win so give the others a chance to gain some experiance and others a rest to be in the best shape for Leeds/Cas/Hull games.

All the posters giving up before the game is played would give the players hell if they showed up with that attitude - just saying

Although you may be correct, the players and staff are being paid to go to St Helens and perform, so nothing less than 100% should be expected.
Just think, they have the opportunity to comeback as heros and the fans with a smile on their faces

if they want to pay me 40k a year and expenses to go would never miss a match, but as it will cost me an afternnoon off work, 21 to get in about 100 in total will save my money.

I hope they play well but after last two performances would be gob smacked if they won,

& i have been to a lot of no hope games incluing saints at oakwell - what a night that was

I'm hoping it's going to be one of those nights of which I can say " I was there." I was there when an injury decimated Wakefield Trinity team filled with young kids up for the fight beat Saints on there own midden.

Lets hope its a back to the walls effort and every one is in the same mind set-ift its in red and white knock it down hard dont give them chance to play how they want.

This is the only way we can come away without a heavy defeat. Spoil their style of play and get in their faces. No standing back waiting for them to run at you, get up to them.
It really does annoy me when I see them standing back when the ball is played by the opposing team, I don't know if it's bad practice or lack of fitness but the good teams are smarter in that aspect of defence than we are.
