Yet more evidance of preferential treatment for the expansion clubs.

| There was an interview with Tony Smith by Ray French on Radio Merseyside's rugby league show last night (Monday) and he confirmed that discussions has taken place between Warrington and Wakefield with a view to loaning players to Trinity.
He also said that nothing was confirmed at that stage but both clubs would talk again with a definate view to players going on loan.

Exactly right. Wire have no room at all under the cap and so couldnt take any players. Moreover they want to offload some for the season. Maybe they are even in breach of the cap?
Nathan Brown has made the same offer. But then Huddersfield are evil so it will be just so we can poach more players probably.

Im a Hudds fan and think us signing DF is a good bit of Biz! for all concerned.
i would like to point out as well that Wires have talked about "Possibly" helping you guys out, where as Browny has spoke with JK and is activly assisting your club out, short memorys a lot of people at most RL clubs we where wipping boys for 5 years in SL and have built up a squad in time with a sound 10 year plan in place and the backers to follow through on their promises, most of your issues come from people putting their pocket first and the club second.
heres hoping you guys pull through,

| So Huddersfield ` nick ` Fergy for £ 10,000.00 ( well done O`Haras great bit of dealing in order to pay your costs ) and then loan us Josh Griffin. At the same time their junior coaching staff are still trying to prize several of our junior players away. You are right we should not forget Hudds, when the aged Mr Davey is no longer available to finance the £ 85,000 per month debt we can suggest Parkin to their administator.
Many thanks Tony Smith and also to Brian Mac at leeds, Kyle Amor I believe.

There is a quote from Tony Smith in this article:-
www.superleague.co.uk/article.php?id=21045
Quote “Hopefully there will still be some meat left on the bone there for Wakefield to compete. It won’t do any good if they are just a skeleton. I do feel for them.
“It is going to affect us all if we have a team in the competition that is under-strength. It affects the whole competition and the national team in a big way.
“We’ve all been talking about trying to improve their chances by having tough competition. The Australians have a tough game every single week.
“If we have got a situation where we have got a highly weakened team in the competition, it doesn’t do our players any good to have a softer week.”'"
Perfectly reasonable position to take, recognises self interest (as well as the game as a whole) whilst at the same time expressing feelings for Wakefield's plight. Sounds like you'd rather he said 'stuff Wakefield' and tried to pick up whatever is left of your squad this time next week. Perhaps if he does that you'll be happy.

| knowing our luck at the moment - warrington will loan us Matt King, Chris Bridge and Mike Cooper!!!
but the gesture is appreciated. if all of the clubs loan us a player each, we may end up with a squad better than what we started with!!!

How have they "nicked" anybody? For all we know that £10k could have been the difference in paying a particular debt or not. Maybe that £10k was used to pay a bloke who supplies us goods or services that has his own house as security against his debts, a bloke who doesn't have the luxury of going into admin and paying off threpence in the pound like we have probably done. I reckon theres a good chance that 'ordinary people' have lost out plenty as a result of this. Also, them in glass houses and all that, didn't we sign Wilkes from Widness when in a similar situation? (I could be wrong here, appologies if I am).
Its too easy to paint outselves as victims here and blame everybody (RFL, Huddersfield, HMRC, Eric Pickles, O'Hara's etc) when we really need a good hard look at ourselves.
Get a grip.

| The players are being sold off by the administrators, not the club. The administrators are their to liquidate the debt that club owes and the only way they can do this is by cashing in on the only assets that Wakefield have ie the players.
I personally hope that this whole thing gets sorted out for you soon and that, all though it's probably short odds on you losing your SL status, you'll hopefully be able to bounce back.

Hang fire. If it wasn't for the fact the armchair accounting experts knowing that Warrington are max'd out on the SC, they would be having a few players away.

True but that was whilst dealing with changeover! Had been allowed to outbid Widnes for Leuluai & Tookhey when quite clear had 0 money!
In championship now (rightly) they would put a transfer embargo on any side teetering near the edge, yet in SL (see Crusaders signings) no action???
