| I would suggest that, on balance of play, the final score flattered Shudds. Their solitary try came when our guys were already sat in the changing room having their half time Bovril.

| Thought it was a really good team performance today and we showed up well in defence again.
Huddersfield did not make it easy for us, and it was hard going, especially in the first quarter.
Not conditions for vast open and flowing rugby, but we took our chances when they came.
Thought Pauli Pauli put in a really good shift today

| Thought first half was tight. Second half I thought Hudds were total mugs to be honest - stopped playing and just got dirty. McGillvery and Ferguson were a handful the rest just cheated. Momo is no better than you average British FB why bother?

| Seeing how much snow had been shifted to behind the hoardings showed what a fantastic effort must have been put in on Saturday to get todays game on. Big thank you to each and every person that made one in

| Though Kirmond had a stormer and was good not to see him sat down or sprawled out injured.

| Superb defensive display, utterly brilliant.
Huddersfield put some pressure on in the first half but boy, were they grubby.
Pauli's best game for Trin and now Finn has his boots on the right feet , things are looking good.
Special mention for Wood and honour in defeat for Ferguson, who looked a handful for us all afternon.
Excellent 2 points and apart from a quick ptb from Mamo we looked tight as a drum in defence

| Its not the way I expected the season to go. I knew we could score tries and even if they let 6 tries in I always thought the present squad would be capable of scoring 7 or 8.
we seem to control games and have confidence I havnt seen at Wakefield before. Each squad member seems to have confidence in the other players and come the better weather and firmer pitches I can see us whipping a few.
The attitude seems to be keep it tight and we will score.

| Looking forward to seeing the highlights to confirm who the guy was who chased back to stop that certain try with about 10 to go.
Suspect Finn might be up on Tuesday for lifting Mamo's legs though. Ref missed it.

Nah he didn't miss it because he didn't do it. Mamo's other leg slipped in the mud and his own momentumn took him round. A trinity player copped for one and was also rightly ignored by the ref. When it's as muddy underfoot as it was today proving intent is nearly impossible.
I did the same taking the dogs a walk this morning but they wern't to blame.

| Fantastic win. Already been said but I thought our defence was outstanding today, especially in the first half when it felt like the game was being played in our half almost exclusively. Thought we took everything Hudds could throw at us then took our chances well when they came. Well done Trin, cracking win!

| Thought Hampshire looked a little lost at hooker, not his natural position. He's looked very good as an extra pivot so not blaming him as I don't think he's much experience there but we looked much better with Woody on.

Wakefield 4000
Shudds 55
A bit like when we played Sheffield in the cup last season but there was more Sheffield fans and they had a sense of humour

| Iām not with you on a couple of points Vasty, I thought McGillvary was nowhere to be seen, but agree Fergie was their best player , and probably on a fraction of other players wages, also I thought we had our best spell when Ryan was on, just my opinion but a comfortable and great win nevertheless , ho and Broughy is still a niggling little grub.

| I can see Woody and Randell playing a half each next week, if Randell is ready.
Dunno about Rocky, mebbe a bench spot, its as tough to get on the bench as it is to get a start when there isn't much of an injury list.
I guess he's really.... a 7 in waiting.

I'll budge on McGillvary but not on Hampshire, though tbf the two errors he made were in quick succession and the rest of the time he did ok - just don't think he's a hooker and in a way I'm glad - I'd rather him persist in being what he wants to be, a creative HB. I'm also certain that if he played 9 over a long period he'd do well but SL isn't short of 9's well not campared to 6 and 7's.

A great position for the club to be in when we have versatile players in the squad, some thing weāve lacked in past seasons.

Fantastic defence all the way throughout the game. I thought Fifita and Pauli were our outstanding attacking forwards but Hirst and Huby both put in great stints.
Quite a high penalty count and on the whole I thought Hewer didn't seem to favour either team. Somme better than usual tactical kicking from Finn, I thought today.
Congrats to all who contributed to getting the game played.

| Another great win for Wakey against a side that they could never previously buy a win from in years gone by
There's a lot to like about Wakey and how they play the game,Chezzie is doing a great job

Looked like one to me, but I was a long way from it (North Stand).

| Thought Hampshire was fine but Wood is an experienced hooker so ran the game better.
It's good to have Rocky to cover but he's not a long term answer.
Thought Kirmond stepped up today strong in defense and some big runs.
Finn had a great second half and effectively won us the game.
The biggest thing was the heavy hitting props. It must have been hard work for Giants handling 5 of them today.
Thought Fergy and their 8 who's name I can't spell caused us some trouble.
