| Quote ="PopTart"Seriously, that is all just blah.
She talks about her experience in a hospital not the actual admissions in the hospital.
The evidence in other hospitals refute what she is saying.
The attendance figures are often discussed and tge people who come on and try to estimate tge crowd by eye are usually laughed at because that it just impossible to that level if detail.
Just the same as this lady, with no access to actual admission lists, or even the view in other wards in her own hospital, is estimating that a world wide pandemic and country wide NHS statistics are not accurate.
I'd prefer to take the agreed statistics from NHS (not the government estimates) and the actual pictures in the magic telly box that shows actual people in actual hospital.'"
I think your elevating this lady to a level she has never claimed is hers to reach.
Evidence from other hospitals was not her remit, just the three hospitals she has worked in before and during the “pandemic.”
It's funny how folk can turn.though, a few weeks ago you were perhaps clapping in the street and painting rainbows in honour of front line health workers yet some of these same workers are now simply talking “blah”
Other than her own personal experience she has an opinion, just like you.
I have watched Trinity at Belle Vue since 1962 and if I cannot tell the difference between 4,500 and 9,000. Ok then, if you say so and it fits your argument. I can't prove I know the difference between the ground being packed to the rafters and half empty. So be it.
I guess this lady with little to do for the three weeks at the “pandemics” height and her own eyes are not worthy of note because of what you once saw on the telly from a hospital other than this ladies hospital. So be it.
Could you please publish on here these “agreed statistics” you speak of and perhaps something to compare them with such as previous admitions from previous years. Numbers in isolation are pretty worthless as my Outer Mongolian visitor to Belle Vue and Old Trafford demonstrated.
I would hate to get the wrong statistics. Maybe your MP can help.

The blah was referring to your words not hers.
And telling the difference between 9k and 4.5k is not the issue. What you can't do is look at a crowd and tell me it's 4,500 people with any level of accuracy. All of which is irrelevant to the point here.
You are using this ladies opinion to back up your own. I am saying she can at best tell us what is happening in her ward. Doesn't back your point up at all.

Good save.
But I compared 9,000 to 4,500 not 4,500 to, lets say 6,059.

Rather pedantic are you not? Sorry, I should have said around 4,500. Shall we say plus or minus 500?
Anyway, the point was I do not need to be a RL professional or an economist to make my assumption.
And I agree, but where did I say her experience backs up my whole argument? Any more than your night in front of the TV backs up your argument.
Those figures please..

I have no figures to back up. The NHS and national statistics office publicised their numbers.
You put this lady up as a challenge to them.
I said I don't see her as more knowledgeable than the original source.
There isn't really a discussion here unless you can give more evidence or at least opinion.

| You really are good at steering a discussion Miro.
I don't agree with your covid opinions but I'd happily sit in a pub and discuss the world with you if that day ever comes back.
I'll probably need a beer and a white board to keep going.

Thought not.
So lets get this straight. Robert Jenrick MP states that hospital IC units are filling up in the West Country. This he states in the interview with Julia Hartley-Brewer on Talk Radio. She guts him by disagreeing and humiliating him by throwing his own government / NHS statistics in his Tory mush statistics which he evidently had no knowledge of .
You defend him by saying she has the wrong guy I give you evidence that he isn't the wrong guy and then I produce a health worker from the very same West Country who kinda backs up Ms Brewer from her first hand knowledge of hospitals in Cornwall, as west as west can be.
You defend Jenrick, dismiss Ms Tasker obviously disagree with Brewer yet you produce nothing, nada, zippo, to back up your posts.
You do not know the figures yet you quote their existence to back up your failed argument, just like your pal the Tory MP Jenrick.

| In my first post I mentioned influenza, how we spread the flu year after year, a lot of that by visiting Belle Vue in our thousands, especially in winter and without any concern for those who will die from it, I never thought about it anyway, and the implication was a criticism of any suggestion we should not have the lockdown.
Now that’s actually a very logical argument don't you think? And it cuts right to the heart of why the lockdown and the rest is so dangerous a precedent to set – for any nation,. One of the key questions is: how do you get out of a lockdown, distancing, masks etc. once it’s been started?
How are your people going to get us out of this? I have yet to see any plan? Certainly not a vaccine, reported to be only 50% effective re influenza and less so in the oldies. I cannot see Bill's vaccine being any different plus it will take years to find out just how effective it is.
Methinks there isn't one. That is, a plan to get us out of this..

| In nearly every post you make you do a little leap and then base your conclusions on that. And then don't understand people don't agree.
This bit makes two points that are not as clean cut as you imply...
"In my first post I mentioned influenza, how we spread the flu year after year, a lot of that by visiting Belle Vue in our thousands, especially in winter and without any concern for those who will die from it"
Spread of flu can't be connected to Belle Vue. For a start off most are outside which is the least likely place.
So to then say that nobody cares as a link to lockdown is not the same.
If there was suddenly a few people with food poisoning after a game, our food huts would be investigated and possibly shut down.
If there was a link to a serious virus we'd also be investigated.
Flu isn't one of those.

Are you seriously suggesting the flu is spread differently to “covid”. Or, as you imply, not spread by human contact in large crowds be it outdoors, in the stands, bars or in the shop. Not to mention shared cars and buses and last but not least, a large influx of visitors numbering a couple of thousand?
I was of the understanding that both were transmitted in the same way. Or does covid have it's own unique way of jumping from one person to the next? And, if not, why the social distancing everywhere including outdoors.

And are you suggesting that the population have not built up a whole load of immunity against seasonal flu, meaning that most of us are largely immune.
Yes, it spreads in just the same way but, they are not the same virus.
Anyway, are you still suggesting that the covid 19 virus is fake and that it's still part of a world re set or, is there another master plan in action to control the world's population.

| So, it seems Pfizer have found a workable vaccine.
Let's see how that goes.
Can't remember if Pfizer are in the New World Order group.
I think I'll see if those taking it grow two heads before I dive in but it sounds promising.

| I still wonder why Miro continues his crusade on this little backwater, his belief and commitment really needs to be taken to a wider audience, clearly Miro understands how to post on media platforms so it's not a great leap into a pool where others can experience the benefit of his thought's, statistics, quotations, his commitment to putting people right, his witless repartee, please Miro share the load, the narrow RLFans Forum despite being connected in the same way as most of the rest of society is not special to COVID 19.

Just for the record, there is no immunity from seasonal or any other flu.
Hence, why there's a vaccine and people unfortunately still die from it. That's why there are monthly/yearly figures regarding it's outbreak and mortality rate.

Yes, it appears they are: Why don't you invest?
=#BF0000"Pfizer seems to have the inside track to become the first to win FDA authorization for its coronavirus vaccine. But is the big pharma stock a good bet for investors?
Taken from RikK's web link.
The Gates Foundation apparently thinks so. The foundation invested in Pfizer back in 2002 and still owns shares. It also owns shares of Pfizer's coronavirus development partner, BioNTech.
Don't look for Pfizer to deliver sizzling growth. However, the stock could provide market-beating total returns with its dividends. My view is that Bill Gates is right that Pfizer is the clear leader in the coronavirus vaccine race, and I agree with the Gates Foundation that the stock is a pretty good bet for investors."
"None of the vaccines are likely to seek approval in the U.S. before the end of October." However, Gates sounded optimistic that "at least two or three" coronavirus vaccines could seek emergency use authorization.
Does he mean a Beta version? Well, we know how well that worked with his bug ridden microsoft operating systems.

Just for balance.
It would be a surprise if they didn't own shares in Pfizer.
FWIW, I seem to have shares in them too, through my pension portfolio, maybe my pension provider is also part of the "global re-set" ??
