| Would think mellars if fit would slot in but I would like to see someone like cowling get a shot.
Collis overall has been a shrewd buy. Can see the glimpses of quality in his step and lines he runs. Defence pretty good too. I hope that with a good offseason we will see more of his quality next year.

| I like Collis - he goes about his business in an efficient way and doesn't appear to do a great deal wrong; he hasn't been fully it for the bulk of this season so when he is, I expect we'll see more from him.

| Saw cowlings name on team sheet in championship this weekend so I assumed he had recovered from the retina injury.
Walshaw or cowling would be good shouts vs saints but we shall see who gets the nod.

don't disagree. he looks solid for the most part, although he wasn't that hot against leeds. i worry about value, but there you go - don't we all?

| Think Collis looks a decent player but I do worry about his injury. I think if he gets himself fully fit he will be a good signing

| I expect Sykes will go to centre and John to stand off ,who has been going very well in the under 20`s and maybe deserves his chance.

| It would be a bold move indeed to split up the sykes/smith pairing after 3 wins on the bounce

| Like most overseas players who show improvements in their first season, Collis will be a very good player next season.

| I think he will play John tbh, Agar sees Walshaw as a second rower and is unlikely to play him at centre due to fitness issues. I'd go for Walshaw and Smith at centre with Sykes and Smith in the halves but I doubt Agar will.

| I'd be loathe to split up Smith and Sykes, given the vast improvement in the former's game since the addition of the latter.
I suppose RA has to reintroduce John at some point, but both he and Agar will get absolutely slated the minute he puts a foot wrong; I'm glad I'm not a SL coach.

| I've a feeling he'll switch Kirmond to centre based on we've have plenty of depth in the backrow. southern, Trott or Walshaw would fill the gap or maybe switch Johnson to second row and bring Wilkes back in the front row. Gives Matt James another go that way.

Cant see why anyone would do that - even Noble reckoned Kirmond was one of the best S/R's in SL at the moment - so I seriously doubt it tbh.

| Isn't it just as simple as replacing a centre with a centre? So cowling or Walshaw.
Rock the boat as little as possible that way.

Thats not worked before, replace centre with a centre if possible.

| Sykes gets exposed defensively in centre. His defence is good but not so much outwide. Where as the influence at stand off he has is tenfold. Tried..tested... Keep at SO.
Kirmond Is a quality SR so keep him there.
The team is playing well and that in my eyes calls for as little changes as possible. One player out, one player in -- same positions and no chopping/ changing. If it ain't broke...

Agree, why change for the sake of it at this stage.

| Oh i agree like for like is the way to go and the nearest fit for me is Walshaw. But going on past selections I just don't think he will. In the last 6 weeks this scenario has cropped up twice. In france he put Sykes there and brought John in and against Wigan he switched Kirmond. That said as both moves failed hopefully he will have learnt his lesson.

| Hopefully as you say it has been learned.
Walshaw I would be tempted with due to the saints centre threats and walshaws strong defence. So long as its an actual centre then it should be ok.
We can afford one young player to show his credentials surely without resorting to makeshift fixes.
