You see I've heard and believe that Agar wasn't first choice or even second, the club wanted Gentle but he's gone else where and then Millward was lined up but Cas offered him more cash, so that left Agar. But you believe what you want mate.

To be fair,there was a tweet from a journalist at the Hull Daily Mail quoting James Rule as saying Wakefield did in fact approach Hull FC about the availability of Richard Agar. This enquiry was made a week before the fans forum. The fact we were actively seeking his services does suggest Agar was very much the first choice.

That aside it matters not, Agar has the job, he has money available, and to be honest, even if Les Dawson was in charge next season, I still don't think we would have as bad a year as this.

Let's hope he does so again.

It would be a good start if he made it public and said " Don't worry Wakefield fans Tommy Lee will not feature in any of my team selections. EVER !! ". Would certainly win me over.

McRae , Kear and Sharp all managed to get on fine and finish above Agar.

Infact Agar got more support then anybody, transfer fees and numerous poor seasons "forgotten" about.

We had 7 years of this clown, we are entitled more then anybody to offer an opinion on him.

The change of scene nary may spark a resurgence in him but I highly doubt that.

Nobody is gloating here so I dont know where you get that idea from. Its not as if we are in a much better off position.

On a plus note for Agar he has currently just lead Hull to a club SL record for the amount of times we have scored more then 50 points in a season. He has also just gotten us playing our best rugby in 5 years so he is not a an awful coach just that Hull FC we feel we are in a position to deserve a top class coach as opposed to one still learning his trade.

Wouldn't win me over! How can you make a judgement on a player who has been out of position all year, he's a hooker not a half-back and that is where he has been playing. Rather Agar come out and say, "Dont worry Wakefield fans, Tommy Lee WILL be at Wakefield next year!" That would win me over!

As stevo said on boots n all the other day, the position of hooker doesn't exsist anymore, the scrum packs down in any formation. No one hooks the ball out of the scrum it's simply fed to the second row. Hooker IS an extra half-back that needs to be able to pass and has half a football brain. If he can't play a traditional half-back role, he hasn't a prayer of playing "hooker". If Tommy Lee is first choice in any of these roles next season then we will be battling the wooden spoon again.

I'm a Hull FC fan one of the most underachieving clubs period. We can't even finish above poor clubs like Hull KR, you tell me where I have the god given right to gloat down at Wakefield. Ok we have a better stadium then you but what else ?

I just hope for your clubs sake that Agar suddenly gets better as a head coach or Wakefield don't put up with him for as long as 7 years.
