I am contacting you from Bar None. We are a town centre pub in the middle of Leigh with free parking across the road and a capacity of around 200. We are roughly a 15 minute walk from the Leigh Sports Village Stadium. We would just like to welcome you to stop by on your travels as you come here to watch what will sure to be an exciting match next weekend. I think we're in trouble for the simple reason that all the other teams I think we are competing against for a sl spot have what we don't have _ pace.

We are not capable of going length of the field whereas once a team breaks our line we struggle to recover and teams can and do score from distance against us

Godinet and Johnstone would dispute that. Problem is we need them on the pitch.

If fit Godinets a must he would have a field day round the ptb area , his support play would also cause problems.

All leighs backs including halves appear to have pace

....and out wide is where Trinity lose the majority of their games. It doesn't matter how strong the pack is if the backs are as poor as the current Trinity three quarters.

Tupou had an 2 on 1 on Sunday all it neeeed was to draw the centre and give but he cutt back inside and was tackled .next play was sm nigtmare kick . game over

He made a decision. He had every reason to think it was just as good an option. It didn't work. Let it go.
He wasn't the only one to make a mistake and he did a lot of good things.......a try saving tackle to hold Griffin up included.
I like what he has added to the team since arriving.

Looking forward to a good all round display on Sat resulting in a win. Bradford will cause a few problems and I expect a close game. but its a must win for confidence, and a vital 2 points.

2006 all over again!

We now have 6 games and a probable £1M game to save our status!

Unfortunately we dont have a JD or Betham type character like we did in 06. Imo along with the obvious other things, any form of leadership has been a serious problem for us this year.

Seems to me Scruton and Miller are taking on the leadership role now.
When we are under the cosh (or behind the posts) these two are barking out the orders (Moore too actually)
It's what we've needed all season.

A leaders been missing all season , I just don't see the right kind of character in the team at the moment to assume the role. Our total lack of forms provided the perfect opportunity for players to shrink in to the background , if we had a natural leader he would have shown his face well before now.

Results today just go to show one game at a time with preparation and game plan the order of the day.
Widnes found out today I would say, H K R great result the week before Wembley.
Bradford what a result, problems at Salford.
Halifax still capable of a shock result or two me thinks.

Half a team out against Widnes and we've come up trumps, seemingly unearthing a talent in Matty Marsh at scrum half. I'm just glad a week after Wembley for us, the Wakey game isn't as big as it once was, we could be even more dangerous against you lot.

Hmmmm wouldn't be too sure. If we can get 2 stone off Ali, dump Riley and find a stand in player to lake hooker, we may give you a decent run for your money.

Am I right in thinking that if a player is sin binned then he cannot be cited later as it is classed as having been dealt with by the ref at the time of the incident. Any refs (proper ones not terrace refs) know ??

Not sure on that mate.

However unless my memory fails me when the video ref system came in, it was only to look at trys. In this game we got it to look at just about everything, including the Sio incident. All the officials missed it and it was the video ref that made the call, so who knows the laws of our game seem to change on a match by match basis.

I'm pretty certain they look at all incidents independently. No matter what the on field decision was.

Exactly !!!!! they are running the game. How long before every knock on , dodgy tackle, foot in touch etc etc is checked.
Because even when the ref calls an incident they go back and over rule him, its getting to be a farce.

In fact I will go one further. I will put money on this happening in the near future. A ref will give a try they will look at the incident and whilst the kicker is preparing for the conversion the try will be over ruled.

They can't rule over a forward pass or have things changed ??
