Brough's looking good

I've been a supporter for 21 years, but after travelling 200 miles to watch that dross yesterday can't see myself bothering after this season. Can't beat a team who have only won once in 25 games! No creativity, spark, spirit nothing. All the playmakers we had are now down the road at Hudds. We lose Brough and end up with a 2nd rate has been like Paul Cooke. JD has done a lot for this club but this is one season too many a passenger now. Unless there is some genuine quality recruitment either now or at the end of the season that's it, not wasting any more money on Wakefield. It's just too soul destroying.

You make me feel a little better MR BROWN.

If I had a pound for the amount of times I have read on here over the years "cannot see where the next win is coming from" I would be rich. The last month or so has certainly been reality check time. We have been punching above our weight for a while now and we have fallen flat on our backsides. I sound like a record but when watching Wakey there are always peaks and troughs and we are now firmly in the later. We need some confidence a new face or two and a bit of luck and hopefully the wheels will once again be back on the train.

I think what everyone could do with hearing is maybe what the club have got planned for the rest of the season,whether we are making signings,looking at players and what the plan is to keep the fans interested.
A meeting is definitely needed and the problems need to be addressed to keep the fans informed and hopefully interested.I don't think those in charge are not doing anything behind the scenes,in fact probably the opposite is happening,but it has to be said that i don't think in a million years Kear or the Board expected the form of the players to be so shocking after the loss of Brough.A new signing is needed and quickly to keep the fans interested.

I hear what you say TRB but what do you call long term.Surely we need new players to be signed this season because the league position is so important,just because we are hoping for a new stadium it still doesn't follow that we would get a franchise for 2012 and without the next franchise we won't need a stadium as I don't think the would be viable any longer.

But it will be a very small free - or how about long term loans for some of our fringe players.

They may not be seen to be good enough for SL but without trying we will never know - and will play the rest of the season without any creativity

Tom, to say Broughy was never going to finish the season is silly mate, you think the club new he would leave halfway through and sold tickets on the back of it.

Difficult to replace players when you need to get the right ones, can you imagine "cheap short term signings" to keep the peace with fans, just would not work IMO.

Better to get decent players, yes it frustrating and yes we want to see the team playing well and winning again but for me "panic signings" are a waste of money.

I am totaly cheesed off just like you but we just see it differently thats all.

17 rugby league impersonating "players" seeking neew, well kept homes, don't cause much bother, very friendly to visitiors/strangers and answer to the names: Aaron, Luke, Sean, Jason, Damien, BJ, Cookie, Richard, James, PJ, Dale, Danny, P-King, Daryl, Sam, Korki and Bengle.

If only if the joke was funny, not that was any intentions of being humourous. The sub-zero moral and attitude has gone far enough and are making a mockery of this once proud club. Don't get me wrong there have been worse players in our team, but for lack of ability at least there was effort, so in short just like Wakefield as a place at the moment, the team really needs bombing and starting again as patience really has run out and the defeats against two beatable opponents within the same week has to be the last straw really.

PS:- How much does a Dewsbury half season ticket cost?

i don't know but if you find out and let me know i will buy you the ticket if you promise to go and stop whining on here. as i said before , get a life

Not wishing to be defeatist (although right now it’s hard not to be) but Trinity could finish 11th and still have averaged a top 8 place over the past 3 seasons.

I really can't agree with your view of "quite a few kids" as some sort of excuse for such a shocking performance. With the exception of Davey & Gledhill the team against Quins was full of players with plenty of experience to get the job done. I agree that it wasn't a full team of seasoned professionals, but IMO every single member of the playing & coaching staff should be giving themselves a long hard look in the mirror this week because at the moment the lack of effort on the pitch equates to little more than taking the fans' money under false pretences. All of us work hard for our wages and the least we expect of the players is that they work hard for theirs too.

I suppose the only silver lining to the dark clouds around us at the moment is Barrow beating Cas. I never thought it would be a question we should ask, but should we try to re-sign Rooney?

I'll chip in as well old lad, trouble is if we do it for one they will all want it and it might prove a tad expensive. Should not be a problem for you mopsey says your on better wages than ngb4c

And just how is that of any comfort to us?

I can think of two reasons - 1) at least we weren't the first SL team to lose to lower league opposition in 4 years & 2) it helps keep their trolls off here so we can wallow in our own misery!

Wasn't it painful listening to Mr kear positivley drooling over the Hudds performance, especially Broughs.

It was indeed; it was also rather galling to hear him having a chuckle with Ray French about Wakey's performance the previous day.

JK is a consumate proffesional though, so I'm hoping he did it through gritted teeth, then tripped the old fart up in the car park afterwards.
