If we were playing decent confident rugby then we should of been rubbing our hands together. Unfortunately we are not. They also have a decent set of forwards still. We’re onto a hiding to nothing either way, if we win, then it will be down to them missing too many key players, if we lose, then we’ll certainly be toying around the bottom 2 come end of the season. Correct, we can't win in the forwards at the moment. Let's hope Dave is back and that Eddie gains back the ability that made most fans want to sign him a few years back. Would be nice to see Whitbread play his first really good game.

cogger wouldnt be playing anyway. Willzay - Fages should be playing he missed out on wire due to the extended HIA protocol. but tui and hill will be big misses. We have our best prop forwards missing in English, Hill, and Seb. You are right, you have no excuses.

He was ok but remember he's an import and it may just be me be I expect more from them.

I personally don't think he's played any worse than the others Fifita apart when he's played, but don't you think that if he hasn't come up to expectations, that there isn't much about to pick and choose especially on our budget.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hudds left a few more out as a precaution just be cause of the semi. An HIA or ban and you miss the semi which they have realistic chance of winning.

The problem is that when you take a quota space you need to be better than the majority around you. I sense his signing and that of the lad from London were panic purchases because the former was already over here and the latter had not played for nearly a full season.

I was looking at the Trinity website which appears to lack any information about the games other than the ladies section. I suppose we are hoping that the advertisement of the game on Sky will do.

I know these things are frustrating but with only two directors and a small staff and a logistically stadium large refit on the way they may be overwhelmed at present. And that’s before the fact that they may be scrambling around looking for extra players. Might be wrong but I suspect I’m not.

It's well beyond frustrating it's boarding on criminal for a professional club to stagnate.

I get what you are saying but even taking jnto consideration the drama queen reaction from some, Wildthing has it bang on.
If they'd even posted on one form of media I'd have given them a break but for no presence at all. That's really poor.

Saying that, Huddersfield posted for the first time about the game 4 hours ago. But we earn money off people coming to the stadium. And being on TV its going to be quiet.

Marketing is an after thought, and its a contributing factor to why we have poor attendances. Having said that I'm hardly enthused about Thursday's game, perhaps the club are feeling the same.

I'm genuinely shocked there is zero promotion for a game we are going to struggle to get anyone down to BV for.
A casual Trinity supporter at work had no idea we are at home this Thu night.
No offers, no promotion and on SKY on a Thu night, we could be looking at less than 3k for this one.

Our attendance has been poor for years and looks like very little effort is made to increase that.

When I went to saints away they had digital advertising boards next to the roads in the town centre informing people of the fixture. Surely this can’t be that hard to organise, not everyone follows social media.

£25 for an adult to watch a game is too much for the facilities on offer.

Money mate it’s that simple.

I’m not excusing the social media stuff or the web site but digital advertising, forget it.

When we did the leaflet job we looked into it and it’s incredibly expensive, especially when taken as a percentage of your budget. I was shocked.

I’ll put it this way. To run a concerted digital campaign over a season would get you that extra prop! It has to be intense to have any real effect and even then it’s impossible to really prove it’s worked.

That said there is always way. What we could do as a low cost alternative is buy our own second hand screen and place at the edge of OUR carpark. Turning it around once a day to catch rush hour traffic. It’s a limited demographic but it’s cheap.

Ditto a big TV screen in the Ridings shop advertising games assuming we are allowed. That is basically free, a second hand 70’’ screen is a few hundred pound off ebay.

My gripe is a lack of imagination and I don’t blame NC he’s an accountant but some at Trinity are not doing there job as well as I’d like.

We probably [ishould[/i win this game, but I'm not buying into the myth that Huddersfield are coming packed with weak reserve players.
They no doubt have better strength in depth than us and will still be up for it. We've had our best (and only effective) prop missing for weeks and don't know if he will be making this one, so really without a dominant pack I think we do have an excuse!

After our last 3 games "should" win, is very optimistic, maybe "could" is more accurate.
We somehow need the team spirit that was there at Wire and more importantly, our opposition to play like Warrington did.

I'm not excusing it just rationalising it.

I now work for a large company but in the past, it's been mainly small ones which Trinity is.

In small companies fringe activities are activities are usually the job of one maybe two people at the most.

Imagine if the main guy is on holiday and the backup guy gets sick with Covid like I am now. Once that happens it falls apart, if that's the case I doubt anyone at the club is even aware that there is an issue or knows what to do about it. I can't honestly think of a reason why they would not if they could.

I know it sounds awfully forgiving for me but I've seen it happen.

Having seen the 21 man squad I think it mostly pinks itself again.

Few things I’d like to see for the game vs hudds.

Walker not at 9. This doesn’t work except in absolute emergency. Bowes should start with Kay interchange. Walker distribution is too slow for 9 watching the KR match yesterday.

More speed at the play of ball and less play acting and playing for repeat sets.

Some intensity in defence. Not standing flat footed waiting for the opposition ball carrier and actually pushing the line forward.

Some kicks along the floor behind Ines Senior.

To say they have a few out it still looks a very capable side they’re putting out.

I really hope Fifita is fit for this one.
