Well it wasn't 50.
We need to invest in a winger I think, okay the problem was enhanced tonight as we were missing that whole left edge in Ashurts, Tupou and Johnstone but the lack of SL quality winger on that side stuck out like a sore thumb. Not too sure what the answer is at this moment in time but we need to find one, hopefully as soon as possible.
Would usually come away tonight feeling extremely disappointed yet I have actually come away with a smile on my face after that second half, probably as after the first 10 minutes most would say the game was already out of reach. To sum tonight up: proud of the effort of the boys in that second half, highly disappointed in the first half performance from the whole team, you just can never write off Wakefield Trinity can you ? Next 3 games at home Salford, Hudds and Wigan gives us chance to hopefully gain some consistency..

| Buzzing after that for some reason, if that kick went over I’d have backed us for the drop goal. Shows character does that.

| Does anybody agree with me, that game was absolutely the best argument against golden point. If Broughy’s kick goes over there’s no way that either team (but especially Trinity after that comeback) deserves to lose.

I was one of those fans, I’d of happily waved the white flag there and then but the lads really proved people like me wrong.
We will best most sides with a performance like that in the second half

| Great performances from Wood & Fifita who caused havoc in the warrington defensive line. Miller did well in the 2nd half, continually probing and testing the line as did Hampshire. Normal hard graft from Arona while Crowther did well in an unfamiliar role.
6 try’s to 5 in Trinity’s favour but that said, I honestly can’t see any reason to disallow the 2 Warrington try’s, I thought they were both fine.
Close, but another loss at home

| proud is a understatement ,the reason lost is we just don't have the quality players to beat them at the moment not for lack of effort - I to waived the white flag at half time actually after 20 mins I thought it was going to be 50.
we need to win next 3 if we want to make top 5 on that second half performance we could but game goes for 80 mins

| Well I dunno how bad we were in the first half or how good Wire were tbh, we hardly touched the ball in the first 20 minutes, I thought they really took it to us in attack, loads of ruck speed and took their opportunities, ****** us over in the tackle with hands in, reefing and general BS when we had it, not pretty but its not like we didn't expect it, that's called developing an advantage these days...:/
Not sure if a full squad would have made much difference either, the same crap would have gone on regardless.
With the ball Wire were pretty good, we were always chasing it after that first half.
Big up the lads for not caving in and taking it down to the wire despite everything...

| During the game's last twenty minutes Wood was a revelation after a rather quiet first stint. Another great game from Fifita, and credit to a non-stop effort from Anthony England.
Pity it didn't go to golden point. We would have had the advantage of the first chance at a drop, and we got into the right position to have a go. Danny B's boot would have won it for us.
Regarding the "Golden Point", wouldn't it be better if both teams received a point at the end of 80 minutes and then the ultimate winner receive an additional point. It just doesn't seem right that the loser gets nothing for similar effort to the victor. Either that or drop it altogether.

| I'd need to watch it back on TV I guess but our left edge was targeted early on and as you'd expect came up short. Not through effort but through coordination and sometimes trying too hard.
At first I was ready to go buy another winger but I'd probably give Max another go as I think he'll get it.
We'll see.
Arundal will be fine. More game time and he will get better and better.

| Yes pop tart they had done their homework on our left edge which was exposed at time but as the game progressed they got into the groove ,
My main gripe from the first half was the gang tackles we did on players who still offloaded the ball at will, needs sorting ASAP.
I was fearing a cricket score and true to trin they proved me wrong in the second half .
Think taking woody off proved a master stroke as he came back on fresh and tormented the wires .
Talking of our left edge,Ben Jones was left high and dry on quite a few occasions and he’s our regular winger .
Took the grandchildren and their friends who’d played in a school tag match and they came away buzzing ,enough said .

| I think Rocky Hampshire is under rated, I don’t think there is another fullback in SL who can inject speed into the backline like he can. Some of his touches were brilliant.
On a different note does anyone know when Batchelor is back ?

| Really proud of the teams effort in the second half, and all players had a dig. 7
Unfortunately, the first 20 minutes or so we were dire. We shouldn't forget this, and it needs addressing, as we have done that before, and its cost us.
Thought Pauli had a shocker, and although Jowitt struggled to begin with, grew un confidence.
Think Batch out for about 10 weeks

Was it the diminutive Jack Hughes who steam rollered him just before the half time hooter. Think that then resulted in the penalty that gave Wire an extra 2 points that ultimately proved crucial.

| A strange feeling after that one. Boy, was that last 15 minutes exciting, wow.
Warrington's line speed and exploiting our left edge got them well on top and we looked like being on the wrong end of 50 points.
Bur, the comeback was magnificent and Wire were left clinging on, desperate for the hooter.
With Brough controlling the game and Hampshire posing more questions that an edition of Mastermind, plus Big Dave causing mayhem, we looked to be heading for golden point.
There's so much to take from that loss that it bodes well for the run up to Easter and hopefully we can be right up there challenging for a play off spot.
Great entertainment and a massive display of guts and determination from the boys. Bring on Salford !

| The perfect game to describe a game of two halves!
Was[i slightly [/iworried when we didnt touch the ball in the first twenty, but wow what a second half performance.
Of course those in the sky Comm box wrote us off!
Great 2nd half and big minutes played by MOTM Big Dave, Ant England & Pauli Pauli. Rocky and Kyle frightening them to death. Pleased that Joe & Max got over for a try after a difficult start. So close and yet so far.
As a number of fellow posters have already said, if we play like that we will win more than we lose.
Thought we were lucky with that try chalked off - looked ok to me when I watched the game back.
Agree with posters saying the golden point should be dropped - to have levelled the score and to have maybe then lost it because of that farce would have been soul destroying!!
Also, WTF was all that with that pratt of a mascot???
Sky decided to show theirs all the time during the game..... made my urine boil!!
Up the Trin.

Pauli looked to have had his confidence rocked when he lost the ball in his first run. Crowd and Big Dave tried to lift him, but it took a while. He can't play 40 minutes at a stretch, but in the second half he was immense.

Couldn’t agree more on the Hampshire point, his sudden injection of speed when joining the line is great and causes all sorts of problems for the defensive line. He looks so composed and gives us that extra pivot each side of the ruck. I’d be getting him signed up on a longer deal if he’s happy at fullback.
Another point is that the introduction of Woody for the last 20 really turned the game. Thought he was exceptional. He can really damage teams at that stage. The quicker Randall is back the better.

Woody had his best game of the season . No coincidence to me that he did not play the full 80. He's far better off the bench

| Just noticed we outscored them try wise 6-5, as people have said the first half killed us, Warrington were clinical and punished us.
I did think for a second when Mamo knocked on at the end it’d hit a Warrington player in an offside position. All ifs and buts I guess.
A lot of positives to take from that second half performance.

| Bang on re Hampshire, he has it all and should be playing in the half backs, Miller was poor again last night, going missing again for much of game. We need Hampshire with his hands on the ball as much as possible, he should also be first choice goal kicker. Next match I would play Brough and Hampshire at 6&7 and Jowitt at full back.

| Massive credit to the lads for a marvellous second half effort with Big Dave once again in the forefront:love the way he dismissively swats away tacklers.A mention too for Broughy. He's got his detractors but I feel we are a better, more rounded side with him in: he gives us more options and the way he created the gap for one of the tries was sublime.I think we would have beaten them without last weeks injuries so overall it bodes really well.Inevitably there has to be criticism in a game like that, and I know it's stating the bleeding obvious, but we need to match fire with fire at the kickoff, unless,of course, we just couldn't live with them.
Must also agree with Kettykat re Wire offloads. We
need to address this problem pronto, cos Cooper especially, seemed to get shut in every single tackle.
