Well it's now Tuesday so I guess we are no wiser what the club's objection are to the offer. I would of thought they would be eager to get their side out but nothing. I guess they just cannot bring themselves to allow we the supporters to know what is going on.

If you can stop yourself for 1 minute and try and and consider what it is like on the inside, you may actually find that there is good reason why there is no statement, as yet.

Any comment made by any party in this process will be scrutinised by all, and is not being made to placate your own insecurities.

I obviously have a voice on the Trust, but the Club will speak for themselves, when they see fit, and I have already stated that there will be something from the Trust at the end of this week.

There's no news is there? YC have offered to buy the land, some Chinese whispers suggest the offer is too low and currently BOI still own the land.

Although only a rumour, It was strongly rumoured that the original rumour was not a rumour but was rumoured to be fact. Given Carters replies on social media then effectively the club has already made a statement on the situation as such. That's out there for scrutiny already, putting some flesh on the bones might be helpful.

why didn't you say it before,it'd save all them rumours

I would ask you to think for a minute ever since the problem with Newmarket surfaced we have been told there is a meeting this week etc and we hope to make an announcement shortly. I cannot remember in all that time any real information coming from the Trust or the club. I am sorry nothing other than what they are offering is not acceptable and then news we have terminated our contract for Belle Vue.
We now hear from the developer and Rodney that they have proposed a solution to the impasse quickly followed by statements from the Trust saying, well nothing really followed by our chairman who refused to give his side to the press but was to make an announcement Monday. It would appear he did not mean this Monday and then along comes the Trust that they are having a meeting and we may be able to make an announcement later. I think we have heard this before while all the time our chairman scours the grounds looking for one that will take us in.
I am nervous because like many or in fact the majority have no idea what is being offered and why it is not acceptable to the trust or club. I cannot judge if the trust is doing a good or bad job because currently we have no idea what you have done because we just don't know.

Is Rodney walker not speaking on behalf of the trust ? I thought he was the trust chairman ? .

Rodney Walker is Chairman of the Stadium Trust and he seems to have broken with the Club Chairman, Michael Carter.

TRB and Sandal Cat seem to be in a limbo, on the one hand they're board members of the Supporters Trust and in that capacity seem to be siding with Michael Carter. On the other hand they're Trustees of the Stadium a Trust, which is Chaired by Sir Rodney Walker, which means their stance with MC puts them at loggerheads with their Stadium Trust Chairman.

This is why, in an earlier post, I said the whole thing seems to be in disarray! The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing while both feet are heading in a third direction.

What the hell is going on!

With regard to the offer being made by YCP, we are told its derisory and will be dismissed out of hand by the Bank of Ireland. Has anyone considered that this might be the opening offer of a negotiation, if it is it's a typical tactic of starting low. BoI will no doubt start with an equally ridiculous high offer and the two will meet somewhere in a sensible middle.

There will be news very shortly.

The meeting was good and we have clarity of purpose.

Would you trust the three wise monkeys Box, Mackie & Walker. I for one wouldn't. I would like Walker to make a statement detailing his involvement & what he is personally getting out of this as he has been quiet for too long.

I'd be very surprised if Rodney Walker was 'getting anything' out of any dealings other than getting a new ground for his club! He's Wakefield Trinity through and through and I would assume already a wealthy man without gaining from any ground deals!

Correct I cannot understand this posters particular obsession with lumping Rodney Walker in with the bad guys.

I know Rodney from old and he's a ruthless operator but as far as I'm aware has always remained on the right side of the law. If I had a business I'd be very careful dealing with the man - not because he's bent but because he is as I say utterly ruthless - Im not sure I'd be smart enough. Sort of guy you want in in the boat not out.

However none of that is relevant to his role in the Trust. As far as I'm aware the Trust doesn't even have an operating bank account and as yet does not even pay expenses - so what this guy thinks Rodney gets out of it personally other than grief I'm not sure!

From memory Rodney was approached by numerous people to chair the Trust in what he probably thought at the time was an easy gig with a big lump of glory attache - bad luck Rodders on that one.

I'm not saying all that Rodney is doing is right only time will tell on that one but these slurs are both unnecessary and unhelpful.

You see, that's the problem right there.

We live in an age where anybody seemingly doing anything for nothing is viewed with suspicion.

People just can't understand that people just want to help or do the right thing. They are always looking for an angle. When one doesn't exist, they just make one up.

No one gets anything out of being involved in this process other than abuse and a headache! All of us have made mistakes, and Rodney is no exception, but I'm much happier with him being involved than I am without.

Our meeting this week was good and we will be able to clarify matters shortly although a key party is unavailable store sent and this is holding up our release. It will become clear at that point, hopefully next week.

He's a wily old fox is Rodney and has my full trust that he is doing what he can for Wakefield Trinity. The self-pride of the man who delivered the new Wembley Stadium would prevent him failing on this one.

I guess the Key member is still partying hence we are still no wiser regarding what is happening, unless of course there is now another reason for this delay.
