Kay was on the salary he was on because he had no SL experience and was not a first team player, how much Mellors was on had no impact on Kay or his contract.
Paying him off (Mellors) if it falls in this seasons cap, will have an effect this season of course, but that isn't what I was referring to.
Kay was on what what he was, because of who he was, not because of anything else.

But Try Scorer, who often calls other people Idiots and clueless therefore insinuating that he isnt, said that it was £8000 and he knows everything about everything in junior rugby so I don't know who to believe.

Not bad offer then with a 7k increase plus add ons on a 1 year deal for one notable game in the red,white and blue? If he'd performed well probably it would have been reviewed as in the SL shop window and a improved deal may have come?.....

If I was to hazard a guess the new scrum half .....Liam Finn would be likely with an opportunity to play at Super League on a 1 year contract and good luck to him if that's the case.
