| Is Agar the only coach in professional Rugby League that thinks its ok to go with 3 props? You have to consider we had a perfectly good 4th one available? Nobody in the modern game goes with 3 unless it can be helped! Shocking decision!

| 3 options:
1) He played the strongest team available to him, and chose not to gamble on players coming back from injury in a game we would probably lose anyway.
2) He gambled on props and pivots in the hope of sneaking an unlikely victory through unorthodox tactics/tactical genius.
3) He hasn't got a clue.
I'll take option 1 for the time being.
On the plus side - Wildie got a game.

| Anyone know if Johnson has signed for cod eds? If so it may be the reason why Agar his putting other players/selections before him. If true i cannot condone this and we should look at seeing if Hull will buy him out of his remaining months for all 3 parties benefit.

| A totally inept performance tonight, it was a fairly decent start but as soon as we started giving penalties away the enthusiasm ebbed out of the team. Richie Mathers & Ben Cockayne where our best players & it wasnt until the 75th minute before one of our half backs took the ball in & went for the line, too little too late. To say that we where mean`t to be fresh after a 2 week break ! we looked jaded early on.

Dumb bench selection yet again.

Save for the administration year, I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times we were rolled over in Kear's 5 years. We almost always were competetive and tactically sound. We now are a feeble outfit with no discipline and no learning; it's like groundhog day watching us play. Never wanted Agar...knew this would be the result. Half of Hull told us and they are right!'"

Looking at the results from last year is unreprestative of JK's time here and tells nothing of the story of the season and the background to it.
I doubt ANY other coach would have got that number of wins last year and, in my regret, I was one of those who thought the time was right for change. How wrong I was!

| J K should have been offered a 1 year deal, if only to test the water. I have no problem with Agar, but the teams not up to it.
Last season was in many respects expected, J k had very little to work with
The expectation for2012 was high and the present crop of players have let the club n coach down.
I think Agar will remain at the club for some time, we will however see a bit of a clear out at the end of the season.
THEY JUST AINT GOOD ENOUGH , the interesting question how many will remain.

You wasn't wrong at all, it was time for a change. Sadly when you make a change though you need to make it for the better. We didn't and we will reap wot we sow. We are paying getting on for 50% more for this years squad compared to last year. We have strengthen the back room staff and the money we spend on nutrition and other player care, improved facilities etc. Are we seeing a significant increase in performance to match the significant increse in investment? In my opinion, no we aren't.
I know someone who was going to get a £100 season ticket but in the end didn't. Speaking to him recently he is extremely glad he didn't as from what he has seen so far he wouldn't want to feel obliged to go week in week out because they are 'so poor to watch'.
As i've said elsewhere i'm willing to give Agar a bit longer to get it right but if things haven't improved in the next month then its going to be difficult justify supporting him any longer. We should be doing better, its time to see results.

Can't really compare last season but what about the one before, far better squad even with the disruptions we had that season, who'd had a very good year the season before, 9 wins we got and some absolute spankings.

I don't think we will get nine wins, but I don't think we'll get massively spanked either, it's a pay off between the two this season.
Hopefully this will add a bit of stability and give more to build upon.
Hopefully!!!

| I feel there in scope for plenty of improvement but has Agar got the balls to ship Smith off back to where he came from. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he signed and suprised me with his performance v Widnes but.......sadly a rock in defence, a tactical kicking supremo, and game changing MOTM performer he most certainly isn't. scapegoat ?? Yes !!! But he sure has earnt that accolade. (and I like the way he shouts at the defence when he just made a FAKE tackle on the try scorer)

On a pedantic note, a scapegoat doesn't earn the tag, he is given it down to the failings of others;
1. Noun
a person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.
I'm certainly not here to defend him, but surely if he doesn't make it crack him not being here on anything longer than a 1 year deal is exactly right.
I think he is a scapegoat, but as suggested its down to a few others not him.

Yes, incorrect usage. But being in the spotlight position and main controller of the game he will always fall into the scapegoat category if the team doesnt win. I personally can't see anything in him that Wildie can't do.

I watched him play a few times last season for the Sharks in RESERVE GRADE and he was absolutely garbage, i was surprised when he got another contract in SL.
I shouldn't be surprised really though should i ?

| On Friday, we played in the spirit of an end of season game where we were safe from relegation and looking forward to our holidays.
There was no intensity in defence whatsoever and the final score flattered us due to their missed conversions.
Why did we have such a lightweight bench ? Playing Johnson in the 20's is ridiculous when we are so short of props.
During the close season when we were signing a player a week, the season looked really promising and when you look at the league table
with Warrington and Catalan riding high (two teams that we played well against), why have we been so poor in so many other matches, most notably
Cas and London ?
Friday night was depressiong. Ok Saints are an excellent side and Roby ripped us to pieces but, we just didnt look bothered.
Completion was poor, discipline was poor and the sets that we did manage to complete we got caught in posession on tackle 6 without getting a kick away
Now Agar isnt the best SL coach but the players need to take a look at themselves individually.
Confidence is a major issue at present but young kids can set up a last tackle play better than the Trinity team managed on Friday.
Smith is not good enough(or maybe bothered enough) to be the midfield general in our team.
