It wasn't that bad really and we were stood in the middle of it, speaking to some Cas fans who thought it was ridiculous as well.

Bear in mind if it had been football then there would have been a bloodbath, at this game there were maybe what, 30 people ejected, no one seriously hurt (though I did see a chap with claret running from his forehead quite early on)

That requires a tannoy system and some lights for night games. I think the club should fence the sides and have front entry only for Wakey fans, managed by stewards.

It is pointless pointing the finger at either set of fans as being responsible in my opinion. No-one can honestly say that one set of fans behaved better than another. Those who threw things, goaded and charged at other fans: you are a disgrace, whoever you follow. Those of us who are rightminded should not get drawn into a whose fans were worst argument; both sides had fans who behaved appallingly. For me, both CEO's have a lot of explaining to do. The way this whole thing has been handled is nothing short of a joke. Tonight was a very sad day for RL in my opinion and both sides should hang their heads in shame.

i am sorry but it was our fans who were throwing bottles, they deserved to get thrown out. Hope they get banned forever. The club do not need these mindless idiots.

As a fan who who was in the animal enclosure, aka as the north stand, all I can say is Rapid Solicitors stadium, BV or what ever NEVER, NEVER again.

I have been to to the Boulevard and stood in the infamous threepenny stand, but have never seen what happened tonight, the scenes in the North stand were utterly utterly, disgraceful.

Really felt for the first time time that I don't want to be at a Rugby match.

To be confronted with chants of " ...what it like to s**g your mum" incessently, really takes the biscuit, is this what what SL has become?

The people who were ejected were infront of us didn't seen to be rank and file Wakey supporters they were IMO absolutely p****d out off their heads.

The blame (?) lies with the powers that be for allowing the match to start at 7:30pm giving the chavs time to get aled up.

RW for fuleing the 'right of Cas fans to stand where they want.
Stewarding of the North Stand was to say incompetent, when the antagonism was at it's highest there was to my recollaction no more tha 4/5 stewards on the steps segregating(sic) the fans.

Always sad when scenes like this hit RL. The sad thing is all fans of the clubs involved get a bad name regardless of it being a minority of idiots who have little or no interest in the game itself.
As long as both clubs take measures to identify and ban the supporters involved there is nothing more that can be done. They also need to look at future games between the two teams and change the times accordingly to avoid a repeat of this situation.

Doesn't sound good at all this, from an outsiders point of view, this North stand thing needs sorting and fast, whats going to happen when Wigan or Warrington bring big followings to Wakefield? Do they go behind the sticks or what? Awaysupport has always been behind the sticks at Wakefield and unless people are told otherwise it is were they are going to stand. Is it going to be a case of "who gets in first"

Unless this is sorted, i.e Segregation, this WILL happen again.

For reasons known only to some of our management segregation in an old stadium like Belle Vie how the hell was that ever going to work. I said there would be trouble on another site and it was obvious there would be.
Last night was a total disgrace on and off the pitch two heads should roll this morning one is the coach the other the coach’s mate
In 37 years I have never been so ashamed to be a Wakefield supporter due to the yobs the performance and the why this once proud club has conducted its self on the run up to this game
I was pulling onto my drive in Barnsley 5 minutes after the hotter went I am disgusted

You don't think Cas bring a large following?! To be fair I don't think the experience will be replicated for other matches. I think there has been a bunch of unique circumstances which led to the trouble seen last night.

Thats the bottom line, people can blame the clubs comments and the old booze but "its down to the fans involved" and no one else.

Lets hope the clowns involved in last nights trouble are banned from rugby league for life. They are nothing but mindless idiots who have no place in any ground in the country, we definately dont want people like that intent on causing troublle down at belle vue. Whats more if any of you know who the ones the police didnt get are let the club know so they can be warned about their behaviour in future.

In 20 years of watching wakefield home and away ive never seen such bad behaviour. Seen some incidents namely one where i was punched in the face at wheldon road resulting in stiches to my eye all because we were cheering when wakey scored and a women took offence, however i still go there.

Lets hope it doesnt discourage the true fans of both sides from attending games in future.

We did have the incident where on her way to or from the cas wakey game last year a fan was hit with a coin thrown from a car the culprit was never found however we have the chance to deal with this in the correct way.

Thats the point I was making, Cas bring a big following and this happens, so what happens the next time you get a big away following?? The only thing I can think of, is that if you want the North stand for Wakefield fans only, you'll have to segregate it

We were stood smack bang in the middle of the 'divide' between the cas and wakey fans looking down on it all from the top of the stand. For me every single person who got involved is to blame and nobody else. Being as close to it as we were you could see that the vast majority was pathetic posturing with no real attempts to break through the relatively thin line of stewards. The throwing of things escalated things and their were numerous 'missiles' thrown from both sides and many 'fans' from both sides came from different areas to join in. We eventually had to move as we ended up on the cas side when the police moved in. We couldn't have been any closer to what happened and didn't get involved so as I said earlier the blame lies soley with any idiot who took part in the trouble. Yes it could have been handled better by the powers that be but to blame them just makes excuses for the idiots who could not handle their beer.

It won't happen with any other team imo.

People came peeeeeeeeeeeeeeed upfrom both sides looking for this to happen and i don't believe if they removed them that Cas and Wakey fans could not stand side by side along with any other teams supporters.

Totally agree however the ones identified need to be held accountable for their actions if identified.

As posted on here by others the letsgo north campain and this City is ours is a spectaculay own goal, done for the right reasons to market the game but the unintended consequences far outweigh the objective of marketing the game. Add to this a full day of getting tanked up the unperfect recipe!

1230 kick off's and all ticket matches for Trinity-Cas matches at BV from now on will go part way to reducing trouble.
