Didn't we win last season at home with a much weaker squad. And let's face it there was more room for us to improve our squad from last season than you to improve yours.

If it was conditions like it was last year then I think we would have an advantage over them, but the weather will play a massive part this week, and in future weeks I feel.

We are geared up with a lightweight, if mobile pack, both by accident and design, it suited us nicely last weekend with a fast track and no doubt it will suit us again throughout the season particularly against less mobile sides - especially those with heavier packs and the new interchange law.

For us to have our best chance we need the ground to stay relatively dry, and we need to play the game like we played on Friday and not get drawn in to a forward dominated game which could be easier said than done if the rain comes and the ground has plenty of give in it. We need to play to our strengths, hitting the ground elbows and knees and get to the edges, winning the ruck an getting penalities off the back of it. If we allow ourselfe to get drawn in down the middle and try and show how tough we are then we will find it much more tricky to get the win.

Lets hope the rain stays away.

hull kr are really quite a rough club. only recently they had to discipline one of their players for racist comments on his facebook page, and then later on they had to sack the same player for an incident involving a club car, a fellow club player, which involved a bump and the two of them running away from the police. it's clubs like them that give rugbyleague a bad name.

Not going to make any bold predictions but something to remember about last week was that at 5-4 penalty count against HKR we were still beating Leeds 12-10 at around 60mins. Even with 10mins to go we were only 2 scores down. The penalty count ended at 12-5 against HKR and Dobson missed all his conversion attempts.

Also when talking about us having a big pack they are also very mobile, great offloading abilities and in Mika, Clinton and Paea we have ball playing forwards that caused a lot of issues for the champs.

As has been mentioned though your ruck is quick and if we switch off we'll be nailed. I can't see our left being as exposed this week but that remains to be seen.

As a HKR fan I have to be confident from what I've seen up to now in 2012, as I am sure are you. If however we play against you the same as we did at Headingley then any pundit that saw that game wouldn't give Wakey a chance. The great thing about this game of ours though is its unpredictability!!

Someone needs to invent a machine to sort these pitches out, something like an industrial sized hairdryer. Might nip down the patent office now actually.

That was a bit of a stupid comment to make, we have had a fair few rogues recently and the club went through a few black patches too!
