I know your as passionate as anyone over young players developing and getting a first team shirt, but you know as well as anyone we are not in any kind of position to keep anyone, when the big clubs wave the cheque book.

I understand that the departure of Murphy will give Luke Walshaw more opportunities to develop and if he does then the trick will be holding on to him. Continuous improvement is what we need to see and I'm happy with the way the squad is coming together.

Now need to see a couple of half backs and a prop.

If they want to go though what do we do? Keep an unmotivated player for an extra year and then lose him for nothing or get the best deal for the club. I'd have loved him to stay but it wasn't an option by the sounds and the deal is a good one so hopefully our next generation can come through and fill the void.

I don't believe AM wanted to leave this club untill he discovered he was been offered in a deal.

Which doesn't stack up with what the Hudds guy says in the press statement, which in itself is an unusual thing to say if it isn't true.

Doesn't sound that way to me, it looks like what it does, that he stayed to see this season out after the approach by Hudds when we were in Administration and it was probably always on the cards he was going,once Hudds made their offer known. I think it's clear we didn't want to let him leave and could have made him stay but if a player wants away, let them.

Agreed, I 100% believe we are heading in the right direction, and when NM comes to fruition that will be a significant step forward, but until then we need to keep shuffling forward and continue to do all the little things right.
We will get there, and it will take some time, but the early signs are there.

I believe we have got a good deal. We have got some cash and 2 players who will be in our team week in week out in exchange for one player who is a decent player but people overrate just because he is a local lad.

This is my first post and i will be stating further facts later.
I felt i had to let people know the TRUE story instead of what Elston is stating about trying to keep him. (Total Rubbish - Thats how clubs work make it look like the player has no loyalty even though aaron proved last season he was loyal to the club)
Aaron did NOT want to go he was forced so the club could get a fee.Aaron made it 100% clear he wanted to stay and based on 2 new centres coming in, it was seen as a good bit of business by the club, whilst also getting 2 forwards as part of the deal. Rather than being honest they made it look like it was aaron's wish - It wasnt ! He is going against his wishes.
Tommy Lee has gone to Huddersfield on Agar's insistance because of issues with him at Hull.....and again another huddersfield cast off (Wood) to replace him too. Its a great move for Tommy as he clearly was not going to get a chance with agar based on the past so joining a top 6 club is a bonus for him.
Tongia wont be staying........unbelievably the people running the club could not see his potential last season and failed to offer him a contract prior to other clubs being alerted so he is gone, morro on his way out another cost cutting exercise replced by Hull reject. compare morro to his replacement......what a joke.
