Correct, its not a a dig at the guy if he wants to invest in us fair play to him. Just my opinion that i dont think anyone is on his back, just probably more unsure about him when he hasnt been mooted as a potential buyer ( i stand corrected if has though )

I just want someone with Wakey at heart, who has good busines sense and wants to take the club forward and if this is the right deal (and he honours my season ticket) then I say good luck.

The good news for you guys is that the decision as to who takes over the club will be in the hands of the administrators and not your (now thankfully ex) BoD.

The more offers on the table the better and the administrators will take a dispassionate decision as to which offers the best chance of Wakeys long term survival and therefore the best chance of recouping money for your creditors.

For once it will be the right decision from a business perspective rather than one based on vested interests.

It was a flippant remark that was not meant to offend,and I did appologise. sometimes you say things and straight away wish you hadn't so again, i appologise. If this chap is who he says he is and does what he says he's going to do then i for one will welcome him.

As an outsider looking in it's pretty obvious.

All I ask of whoever takes this club on has an astute business mind and can run it efficiently and reach out to members of Wakefield and catch their imagination and passion for the club once again.

Working in the media, I have to keep my distance and sometimes my opinions to myself which is really frustrating, however the one thing I will say is that standing on the terraces week in and week out, the fans deserve something a lot better than what's been going on over the last few years (especially when things seemed to be heading in the right direction!)

It's what Wakefield fans finally deserve - I'd really love for all the fans to enjoy their rugby with a 'smile' back on their faces.........

I have a lot of time for James Elston and David Longo and wish them both well in the future whatever happens.

Mr Glover are you a friend of teds? Just been looking in to your statement and the one made by the board and they seem to go hand in hand.

What does that matter? The guy has been vetted by the RFL, has money to invest in the club, runs succesful businesses and is a fan. If he delivers for our club, then I couldn't care less who his friends are!

Wether he is the right person to take us forward or not time will tell and I wish anyone who wants to invest our club all the best, BUT the fact he is on this board doesn't sit right with me I'm afraid.

The company who buys the club will be the one the administrator thinks will do the best for the club. So whoever gets it, good luck with it. If it's Mr Glover, fine. If it's someone else, fine.

I'm just cautious I do not trust or believe Ted. Hope this bid isn't a way of sneaking Ted back in through the back door and controlling things from behind a mask. Call me paranoid if you like but if you read the statements then it all just seems to fit in to place perfectly, pretty much 'too good to be true'.

If this poster is Andrew Glover, it does seem a bit odd to encounter him on this board.

Having said that, if part of his preparation and research for the bid has been to take a sounding of the clubs most vociferous and passionate stakeholders (that's us, by virtue of the fact that we are signed up and post here), I can only applaud that. It shows enterprise, creativity and an understanding of modern social media - something that has, incidentally, been sadly lacking at WTW in recent years.

If this is the approach and outlook of one of the favourites to buy our club, I'm pretty happy with that. It'll be interesting to see how Mr Parkin responds.

brenk2k....That is my point, I dont think Mr Parkin will respond on this forum. I feel uncomfortable that he is sounding out and trying to get the fans on board , before he gets the go ahead. Not downing on the gentleman just expressing my feelings.

Airing your views is fine, no problem there, but, in my opinion, it was clearly a sales pitch to the fans, dropping little hints along the way.
He clearly stated afterwards to be taking any advantage, and then was upset about a comment made in innocence by another poster.
For goodness sake we all fall out from time to time on here, and we are JUST fans. If Ted had been on here over the last few years he would have fallen out with everyone, well almost everyone!!
It is, in my opinion, not the proper place for anyone involved in either the running of the club or in the process of bidding for the club.
There is a place for everyone to make their views known, mr glover has a website, the press etc, I just think this place is not it.

He said his presence on this board was to gain a competitive edge; that's the outlook im wanting from our next CEO / chairman / owner although his presence won't influence whether he gets the club (as we (the fans) aren't making the decision.)) However if he is successful then he might well get us on side and express his idea's, vision, strategy to get us on board.

Either way, the parties who are interested are being discussed publicly why should that individual company not get a say. In regards to the above post i'd be worried our prospective new owners didn't check this board, as it receives a high number of posts from Wakefield fans with various opinion, albeit all have a passion for the club (which has hopefully been seen)

His presence here doesn't worry me one bit and I wish him well, and if he gets the club I won't be disappointed. As has been mentioned the decision for our new owners doesn't lie in our hands.
