I sincerely hope it is a hugely significant development, but you have to remember that for Wakefield supporters it was barely 3 weeks ago that most of us thought/hoped we were on the verge of a bright new future for our club, only to see the ground almost literally pulled away from under us. Add the recent news about the club's debts to the list and you can see why it's hard to believe there'll be any significant developments in our favour. Like I said, I hope it is good news, 'cos God knows we could do with some.

I would like to echo what RR has just said IA, and say thanks for all that you have done. And likewise I am a long distance Wakey supporter, so will not be able to attend this evenings meeting, which means I am also incredibly grateful of you posting the good news from tonight's meeting, shortly afterwards.

The only development that could lift me from the depths of despondency (having watched Wakefield since 1960) is that the SoS has changed his mind - and that ain't gonna happen.

I have a feeling that the council are considering building some form of depot on the site but this is just a rumour and it is probably wrong.

As for the prop forward, i reckon it will be the lad from Barrow (Young?) who by all accounts is a good championship player and deserves a shot at SL.

The LDF has been ratified and parts of the development are/will be no longer classed as green belt.
