If Newton, Tronc & Brough had stayed last year, what state would we be in now?

1. YORK COURT No YC no units no stadium

2. WMDC No council to bring YC on board and try and smooth the way NO stadium.

3 WMDC No council no £2 million loan on land

Depends when 'recent' begins I guess. This era, much like many post-'68, has been full of false starts. Not getting to Wembley, not turning up against Catalans...the best part of this era was the run in the play-offs under McNally, the performance at Wigan was the best in Super League.

2004 was by far my favourite year supporting Trinity.

Amazing season that I thoroughly enjoyed. We seemed to blitz the opposition in the 2nd half and Belle Vue
was a fortress.

What money ?

Since mid 2009, the budget has been slashed with the following players leaving, Peterson, Rooney plus Pitts and Atkins with a transfer fee in return. 2010 we started with a smaller ( assuming cheaper) playing squad than in previous years while we had inflation busting admission fees. From the 2010 squad we lost two high earners in Brough and Tronc. In this period we have received half the payments for the sale of Belle Vue, naming rights payments for Belle Vue and money from new shares issued in 2009!

So where has it all gone? Certainly not on our tax bill considering we still a big amount. All I know is that this has happened in the time that Teds personal financial problems have hit home.

So you are ' surmising ' that he has been taking money out of the club to help out himself financially , but you don't actually know what the situation ' financially ' the club was in before that time , the club might well have had debts that were guaranteed personally by your BOD , believe me that would not be unusual

The bottom line is you don't know , and probably never will , how long has he controlled the club ? , usually the crooked ones don't last long

That may well be the case, if so it makes a mockery of claims on here over the years that he was the saviour of Wakefield Trinity. All along he's been racking debts up in the clubs name not investing his personnel wealth.

Of course nobodys knows, with the wall of silence all we can do is try and work out whats happened with the facts we know. All I know is what I posted is what we know.

I love that term ' Investing ' , what you actually mean is ' throwing away ' ! Trying to make up the shortfall because of the apathy of fans who would rather watch the footy or Leeds/Bradford and the like and spend their money on beer in the pub , but as soon as Cas are in town , they are lifelong loyal every match fans

, it cost me a lot of money then for an amateur , as I have said , I don't know Mr Richardson although I probably have met him at RFL council meetings , there is no business in the normal world that can prepare you to run a pro sports club , everybody is going into it as an amateur , unfortunately all too often the line between fan and owner , and common business sense and ambition becomes blurred

why dont you go back on the borefest on the V.T with sid james and wellsey, where you 3 have asked the same questions 100s of times in different ways.

And herein lies the arguement. If the club had come forward and explained these sort of questions so the fans had some form of an understanding why we are in the pickle that we are in, then I would suspect that more than 10 investors would have come forward.

Or not , you would mostly have done exactly what Deehell and others are doing now , slag off the board for incompetance , as I said , if you think you can do better , have a go , not be hard for a couple of people to put together 3/4 hundred grand these days if they really wanted to , just sell your houses and take a chance , lets face it , it cant be that hard running a SL club can it , most of them are making big profits

Starbug, you make a lot of good points and the grief your getting is because a lot of it what people don't want to hear.

They is no doubt decisions have been made which have contributed to the situation we now find the club in and things could been done a hell of a lot better, but as a club with small support and no wealthy benefactor it's also a case of trying to spin too many plates at the same time. Those plates have been wobbling for a while and are now falling off.

Personally I believe the inevitable now is administration. The lack of info and confusion regarding the share offer has largely contributed to that. I think most fans accept Trinity will be the club to leave SL in July, if they are still an entity of some sort. The key now is making the best of what the future holds.

What a pathetic response. Thats always a sign of someone with a weak argument. On that basis we we shouldn't hold opinions on Professional sportsmen, politicians or anyone that does a job that we don't do.

Yet again the facts are as follows and I'm making an opinion on that!

Isn't it just the obvious thing that money coming into the club through the gate does not match the money going out in wages and bills? If we operate at a loss all the time, then sometimes off-loading players is how you balance the books. There's nothing to hide. It's just simple economics.

I presume that our survival was always dependent on Newmarket, where there would be a chance that gate receipts would begin to overtake expenditure and we could start to build something. I would agree that from the outside looking in the club does appear to be run in a corner-shop style, it never feels like a smoothly run operation, but my take is that the problem is simple economics, and always has been, not really the leadership.

If you think it's that easy then you live in a different world to me.

there have been , but as I put , the truly dishonest ones tend not to hang around too long , I assume Mr richardson came in at a time when others didn't want to and has been in control for quite along time in real terms , that reason alone would suggest he has probably just now become out of his depth , i know how that feels , it will be hurting him at least as much as any fan
