I am sure that we would all agree that a club like ours needs to employ a media savvy person to control what is released to the press and equally as crucially the timing of the same.
Had we someone with the right skills still on board, then they may well have controlled the "fall out" from the decision for a PI much better than Teds ill advised rant at Cas at the beginning of a week they submitted their full PP.

Could certainly get rid of a couple in their - the disinterest and lack of knowledge is amazing from a couple , but ( as discussed on a earlier thread ) the blonde haired lass is top notch and deserves better IMO .

i think we are all kidding ourselves in believing we have a plan B cos i dont believe we have,i think we should all get used to the idea of nl rugby after this season thats if we still have a club, we got lucky on franchise last time but we wont this time around anybody who thinks differently are again only trying to kidd themselves.not only is it gonna be our last but it will be our worse and we will finish bottom as our squad is probally the worst we have had in superleauge we have no real quality and no strenth in depth.i have bought both my sons season tickets so will be attending all home games aswell as many away as possible,but i dont imagine ill be wlalking out after a win.

long suffering is a bit harsh, we have had a very steep declne in the last 18 months or so but the rest of SL has been a blast, I think thats why many are down now, we went slowly forward each year in one way or another and then got all cocky at the end of 2009 and buggered it up, probably for good, and its als fault.

TRB wrote Plan B was well thought of - I knew about it back in June/July when attempts were being made for us to abandon NM and move to GH. Since the announcement 2 weeks ago, there has been movement relating to plan B and when the time is right for the business, I'm sure all will become known.

I am somewhat bemused by this statement. More importantly it confirms that even in June there where serious reservations over Newmarket as TRB states attempts where been made to abandon it. If plan B as you state was also under way in June then surely by now it should be finalised. That is unless you would have us believe you know more than you actually do. I smell some b*** going on with TRB

what i mean by long suffering is that we have been promised so much regarding grounds and the club moving forward to which we havent,yeah alright we made semis of cup once but only cos of draw and yeah we made playoffs a couple of times but never kicked on from there like we should have

Perhaps we need to hit rock bottom before we can start to rise up again, perhaps we are a better (cheeper) proposition as a NL1 club?
Whatever the future brings two things are certain.
1) the club needs a change at the top, too many mistakes over the years have left us in this hole we're in at the moment, too many missed opportunities, a lack of real nowse. I aren't going to bang on about ted et al, my views on this are well known, but it's time for a change, maybe losing out on a franchise will be that catalyst?
2) if there are to be dark days ahead, the club needs the passionate to stay strong and perhaps help shape the future. There are enough people on here who have the clubs beast interest at heart, no matter how that materializes itself, to show that if the club was to look for solutions, it may find them.

Nice to see there'll be plenty of confidence of the terraces this year!!! Makes you wonder why the players should bother turning up at all really.

As for the TWAS comments, I certainly haven't been tempted to spend any more with the club since this statement was adopted and would be surprised if many other people have either, but it's definitely a sentiment that we should all be taking on board regardless of our feelings about those running the club.

its his fault too, weirdly all wtrlfc's problems are down to moderators on here who have used this site as a finely crafted cover to their attempts to bring down the club, TRB with newmarket, Al by supporting badly and not having anything to do with squadbuilder, and i heard in the maypole in ossett on boxing day that rebel rebel has a huge store of light bulbs he has nicked over the years, mutley cat is in fact an anagram of castigerfanbringwakeydown give or take a letter,or two.

It's been that way for years now, and the 'friends and family' atmosphere around the club allowed that to happen - too many hangers-on getting roles within the club. At times we have a professional team run like an amateur club.

The plans were at the hands of the council trying to force Glasshoughton upon the club. The plan B came into effect to mitigate the major stumbling block NM had, time, therefore removing the councils only argument in pushing the club East.

TRB has no reason to BS anyone. He is a supporter like anyone else on here.

I don't understand why lots of people are having a go at TRB and AL. From what i have seen, these two put their time and effort in and love the club and if every other supporter were as committed to the cause as much as TRB and AL then the club would be far better off.

To all those people who are constantly having a go at the club, you should support your club through thick and thin. You might not agree with everything that is done but you should still offer your support. If you as so called supporters are not willing to do this then the club is far better off without you.

The thing that gets me mad about all this is that a professionally run Wakefield Trinity RLFC should and would be a top 6 SL club on and off the pitch. People talk about been a small club but we're not we are a big club thats been run like a small club for years. We has the great team of the 60s where the public of Wakefield were proud of their club facilities and team, since then the Wakefield public have been taken for granted and alienated from the club. We're the biggest City in England with no pro Football team and whatever people say there is a huge appetite for Rugby League, sport and Wakefield Trinity in this City, when going round the pubs and work places collecting sigs for the Newmarket petiton proved that to me. We'll have to see what the shareholders meeting brings but we need a proactive club that works with the public of Wakefield not against it. PS whoevers decision it was to knock the South Bank down is more to blame for our demise than anything Ted has done
