In the bit where I said

Or are you going to hang me for posing it as a question? I thought you might be smart enough to pick up on the intent. All you've done is added the "yeah, but he didn't say this" bits. Doesn't mean he's wrong.
Doesn't mean it's good to say either. You can look back in this thread to see where I've said that too (though I may have phrased it slightly differently... so beware).

There is something wrong with buying a rugby club with a shareholding reputedly worth around 400K and putting family members in positions they may not deserve to hold in order to draw an income from the club. Over the years, the investment will have more than paid for itself. If the family members were the best people to have in those positions, then of course there's no argument.'"

I am not going to get into the Ted discussion as I am not a supporter of either club.
However, the 'style' of your posts is growing ever more similar to another poster and this particular post heightened my suspicions even more...

Bit naughty that IA you sit on the fence with regards Ted, but then feel happy to make insinuations about another poster. And why would you not comment? the fact you do not support either club has not stopped you so far, and have you not already been down the road of putting 2 and 2 together with regards posters.
Seriously though IA if you want to put your investigation skills to good use, you could start by finding TRB, he has been barely visible since posting in reply to Townville tiger:
"I am not aware of the decision being imminent, in fact it doesn't fit at all with what I have been told, but the truth will come out in it's own good time."
I suggest another load of bull fed to him by Ted, I have said all along that SWAG are just being used by the club to keep the fans onside. I said this to TRB months ago. Take the Thornes park situation, I can tell your for a fact the EVERYONE involved new that timescale wise it was a non starter, My farther is a senior lecturer there and as the supposed move involved his Job he asked the principle and her reply was that she Was sick of People(Wakefield express, Swag, WTWC) making incorrect statements on the subject. The college planned to extend its Margaret street centre and move the Business and Management department there, the foot print for this would not be available till well into this franchise round and maybe not before the 2011 round, so it was never their intention to move from Thornes in the required time scale and All the parties concerned new this.
IMO the council helped Wakefield as their were no viable alternatives at the time they created the mirage that was the Thornes, revealing the desert just after the franchise was in the bag.

Why is it naughty, I am not getting into the Castleford v Wakefield stuff, that is for their supporters to do or not do, if I did all I would get is, "what is it to do with you" posts! Firstly, other than what he has said, what more do you want him to say? You and others accuse him of him being some sort of puppet (which he most certainly is not!) and have a go at him posting too much and then when he does not post, because there is not a great deal to say, you have a go at him again! He can't bloody win!
However, the one thing TRB is doing is working hard for the club he supports and loves and has the integrity to stand up, work hard to make things happen and be counted, everyone knows who he is, he does not hide behind a screen name or avatar, as don't I and many others... so what about you rugbyball? I have asked you this question before and you continue you to ignore it... so, who the hell are you and what is your reason for posting on here, what do you want to achieve, what is your mission statement? Everyone knows TRB's, everyone knows mine (despite what they might post on Cas Forum) so, the 'rugby' ball is in your half?

| As my RLE is still to be delivered can anyone enlighten me on the question which was put to Ted which elicited the response ?
Having read the quotes from the guy form Probiz and seen his all-singing website and endorsements from accountants based mainly in the south,I was instictively suspicious, having been reminded of the sort of chaps who take over sports clubs and don't turn out as they at first seem.Has he ever stated he has been a Cas fan all his life or a season ticket holder ?

You need to ask that on the Cas board, mate. This is the Wakey board, or at least it was until a week ago.

Why does it matter? It's a business arrangement, not a fan helping out their club.
That parochial mentality is what is holding clubs in this sport back from achieving their own expansion.

I posted you some FACTS in my post which again you choose to ignore preferring to have a go at me for not revealing my identity. This is an internet forum not the United Nations, I do not have to post my identity, I have no mission statement I am simply posting my opinions which although not being shared by many on here are starting to seem more accurate than many. One of the reasons I got involved in this debate (which I have the right to) was the misrepresentation's of the Thornes Park episode and continual blame game. The plan all along has been to pass the buck to the council, WTWC have basically said "you find us a stadium" .
Any way enough of the negative stuff I have a solution if the NM thing falls through. If York court do not get to build their warehouses you could fund the stadium easily here how.
Get the 14,000 people who signed the petition desperate for facilities to put £10 a week in each for 2 years bobs yer uncle, the stadium would get planning as on Green Belt for the Stadium on its own, problem solved. Start setting up them direct debits. Infact if this had been done 10 years ago folk would have only had to stump up £2 Quid a week. Come on people of Wakefield stop passing the Buck put your money where your mouth is.
The more I think about it the more it makes sense One of those big fundmometers, and pictures of the stadium in the Bull Ring, much more proactive than, wasting money on stamps writing to the council.

| How exactly has the council being misrepresented with regards to TP? It was their baby. Trinity had there own plans at the time but put them aside because of what the council was offering.

Firstly, I have no idea what FACTS you posted and whether they are true or not, I don't know anything about Thornes Park other what I read at the time, so simply can't comment.
The issue is not about you having an opinion and indeed expressing it, you are right, this is not the UN and in most circumstances this is about opinions and not about who and why you are making them. However, you are choosing to call out and criticise another individual and SWAG for not commenting, for being used by the club ,etc, etc and you are doing this consistently for what reason? I don't buy you still being angry and upset about Thornes Park as a good enough reason TBH! You don't support them or Cas (I think!), so then your motive does become an issue and you can ignore my request, but I think at some point you need to stand and be counted... posting is one thing, action is another! That is my opinion!
Finally, before we ask those 14,000 people to support your 'in jest' idea why don't we ask them a more relevant and pertinent question! Lets ask them if they would rather see a minimum of 33ha of the Newmarket site developed for B8 use at some point beyond March 2012 (by whomever) and them get nothing or have 50ha of B8, 11.94ha of B1, 4.21ha of Leisure. more jobs, better infrastructure and 13.18 hectares for a stadium and community sport facilities now? I wonder what their answer will be then?

| Dissapointed to read the comments from TR in the League Express, TR should be reminded that he is very fortunate that WMDC are allowing any financial aid to the proposed development at Newmarket having previously purchased Belle Vue from the club and subsequently selling it back to TR for a nominal amount.
TR should be more concerned in concentrating on the problems that have beset the Wildcats for decades, lack of investment at Belle Vue been at the top of the list, By my reckoning there have been a minimum of four proposals for a new stadium in the last 20 years none of which came to fruition but rather became industrial units. And Ironically it is the Industrial side that is pushing the development at Newmarket not a stadium as they would have us all believe.

| Apologies to Rugbyball for not being around for a while - I do have to try and find a little time to spend with the family - only I didn't expect it take me 9.5 hours on the M1 to get to London on saturday! Boy, I must have been proper evil in my previous life!
So, as always, things kick-off while I'm away - although I haven't even seen what Ted has said as yet. Personally, although I can understand Ted's frustration with everyone believing all things Cas, I don't actually agree that he should have come out and said so - I tend to agree with the majority on here that we should sell what we have firstly. It's a bit like the battle of Trafalgar Square (for fans of the Apprentice).
Re RB's quote about the 'Truth coming out', it has, and all we were doing is trying to second guess what was coming. There was a meeting planned, which we though would happen before any decisions were taken, and in the end it did not - hence us getting caught out by the timing.
Where do we go from here - onwards and upwards, but no-ones pretending any of this will be easy, and if I'm honest, I think Ted's comments may make things harder, not easier, but it's what we have to deal with and it still true that we would be light-years away from a solution without Ted.
Re. Thornes Park, the issues RB put's forward about timing are correct, and this was always an obstacle, but as we know - obstacles can be removed with political will. It matters little now anyway, but there is no doubt that we turned down a perfectly valid alternative as a result of the councils assurances on TP!
As for expecting WMDC to find us a home, it is true that we cannot do any of this without them - I think you'll find that's why SWAG exists in the first place - but we NEVER asked them to build it or to fund it. We have asked for support, which they have agreed to; we even asked them for land to build on, but it was always the intention to put a package together with a developer - and that is still what we have, despite the delays and the implications of it. We will continue to try and work to ensure that what has been put on the table, stays on the table, for today, tomorrow and for the future of RL in Wakefield!

| RE Thornes Park, timing was not the issue concerning Thornes Park the issue was that no one wanted it in the Park and the public outcry would have been far greater than that over the Newmarket site.

I think the issue was the costs spiralling to circa. £60m.
The real shame in all this is that now we have a situation where the land in the middle of the park could be turned into a housing development rather than a sports village for everyone to use. One option would’ve given that section of the park back to the community, the other will give it to a few private property owners.

| Quote ="TRB"Apologies to Rugbyball for not being around for a while - I do have to try and find a little time to spend with the family - only I didn't expect it take me 9.5 hours on the M1 to get to London on saturday!
Boy, I must have been proper evil in my previous life!
So, as always, things kick-off while I'm away - although I haven't even seen what Ted has said as yet. Thank you for replying TRB and I can not knock your post, on the whole I can see what your saying about TP.
There was only ever going to be so much development allowed in the park (housing we have now). So once you had the sports village in there, I do not believe much else would have been permitted. So the at the time what seemed the best option to the council was to look at themselves as development partners and add public facilities to the project thus creating funds for the stadium. I do not believe their was the scope to bring in partners like YC as is happening at NM. Leaving just the council, who of course have obligations to the tax payer, pressure from the other two Wakefield District Clubs and objections from local residents. They did what any tax payer would expect and carried out a feasibility study and ultimatley Walked away.
You say WTWC put their own plans to the side for TP, so ultimatly as I have said the gave away control of their own destiny. I would also suggest as Wakefield College still occupy TP as has always been their intention you would be still without a stadium now. Also yourselves and the council new that the time scales would not allow for the stadium to be built within the franchise period, yet I suspect you did not highlight this to the RFL, which is what frustrates me about some of the folk on here having a go at the council. They could have pulled the rug out from under you before the franchise application.
