pretty bad player tbh, seen him have maybe 1 good game, its like when we played teams like wire. He was just non existent, and when he was he was noticed for all the wrong reasons. He's pretty mouthy aswell

No player can have come to us with a worse reputation at his previous club than Hendo. Leigh fans and officials were glad to get shut. Didn't turn out too bad though did he?

He didn’t turn out bad, but conversely he’s not turned out great either. I know every club needs a Hendo style player but too many and you will have an honest, but pretty poor team (and I know some will say that’s one trait better than the team we have watched this season).

Henderson is a trier, but not a good enough player. Would another Super League club have him? Same discussion with Jamie Field a few years back.

I'm not crazy, just realistic. The guy looks like the human equivlent of Belle Vue and what do we make of the state of Belle Vue? Look, folk can dress how they like for me but it's time Wakefield Trinity began to put on a far more proffesional front than they do at present. Last season I took some friends of mine to a game. sat in the east Stand were squad members who were not playing. Most were unshaven, dressed in scruff and to be honest, resembled outlaws from a refugee camp. My friends were not impressed with them or the ground / facilities yet they were the kind of people the club should be trying to impress if they want sponsors, investors etc. Surely this doesn't need to be spelled out on here? One step down from a chav is not the way foreward. It ain't about fashion, it's image, standards even, like it or not. A dress code for players and staff wouldn't cost a fortune and may even be cheaper than all that designer dress down gear.

Trouble is, when you get pretigious visitors to the ground, potential investors etc. That's just what happens.

To be fair if that is your biggest concern then you really have a blessed life. I suppose you expect them to go shopping in a tuxedo?

Get a grip man we are still in the midst of one of the worst recessions in history, the club is fighting for it's financial life and super league future.

We are finally starting to sign players and =#FF0000all you moan about is the way they are dressed.

Ok, so all we have to do to move the club foreward is sign players. Fine, small minds, small club.
Reminds me of a meeting at the club years ago when they were electing a chairman, president, or whatever it was. All these guys stood up and gave speeches on re structuring the finances, getting sponsorship to bring the best players in, modernising the outlook of the club. Finaly one old geezer stood up and his speech? "All we need is a scrum half and a prop forrad" Needless to say he wasn't elected. This your old man by any chance?

Getting sponsorship is nothing to do with how players look, it is to do with performance on and off the field.

That said kear is master of rejuvenating guys who have lost there way and getting the best out of cast offs, and lets not beat about the bush, smith is a cast off

All that said If kear thinks he's up to it then he'll do for me, We've seen kear do this many times before and he 4/5 times gets it right

Look, I infered our club image should be higher up the food chain than of a beach bum. I'm sure Jeremy is a really nice guy but he could have made an effort on his first day. By the way, you brought in "tuxedo's" that's YOU over reacting to my comment.

If I was looking for a pro sports club to invest in (take the word "invest" however you want) I wouldn't waste my time on such a down at heel outfit like Trinity. That's the impression whether you like it or not and believe me, I'm not alone and we arn't awash with investers and sponsors are we???. Maybe you've lived your whole life in tracky bottoms and trainers and feel that's the bees knees but some see it differently.
Take this example as part of a bigger picture. We may have a new ground soon, lets not spoil the ship etc.

Just to give you some background I work in the commercial department of a Football League club and I have never once been asked how players dress.

The most important thing they want to know is where there money is going and how they benefit from being involved. I can tell you now a players wardrobe is never clincher of any deals.

Then you will know that even Aston Villa now require a dress code and that extends to visitors to the corporate boxes.

Let me get this straight,you're saying that rugby players, dressed in the teams tracksuit,will put off potential investors .They must also maintain short back and sides and be clean shaven at all times,to keep potential investors happy.It's funny really, because before the game when your watching the 2 teams warm up or the players who are watching,I've never noticed that Trinity is on the whole, more scruffy than the opposing team.I think if you have a bone to pick,it must be with the whole of Super League as well.

Maybe so but had he had a suit and tie on he could have been sponsored by Royal Mail.
