Backwards? we finished a good 6th last season and won a playoff game, that was us going "forward" compared to the preceeding seasons. From my point of view we are very much a club that is improving both off and on the field. Got to say I think Hull are a great club, they play out of the best ground in the League, top fans who attend away matches in big numbers, from experience I can confirm that they have the best match day stewards in the game the way they look after away fans who need assistance is first class. On the Rugby front despite many injuries their team made up of mostly second teamers and juniors managed to hand our near full strength team their backsides in a basket earlier this season. So the cup draw should be good for us as on form we will get stuffed infront of a good size Hull crowd, so no winning pay to find but a good pay day as we get 50% of the gate money, after costs.

All joking apart i totally agree, a club we should take some examples from.

I have some affection for Hull FC - the wife is originally from there and her grandfather played for them back in the day.

I'm less keen on the modern iteration - I find the KC a soulless place and Mr Pearson's arrogance appears to have carried over to a few of their fans, as is evidenced by the visitors to this thread.

All that said, if we could get to where they are in terms of resources and facilities and suchlike, I'd be a happy camper.

Me, I'm happy to continue swimming in the sea of misguided confusion, given that what I saw was that the game was crap, both teams were crap but Hull were marginally less crap, therefore they won the game.

Even Shaun McRae in the Hull Daily Mail (I think it was Tuesday's edition) admitted that both teams had a poor game that day. Admittedly Hull's team was weakened by injuries.

I expected us to perform better on Easter Monday as I, like many of us here know that Wakefield can perform better than that.

The last game between Hull FC and Wakey was a bit of a non-event. I'd fancy us to take Hull on our day, however if we play like we did against Hull last time then it could be a long afternoon. Similarly I'm sure Hull fans will fancy their team to beat us if they hit their straps. Potentially a cracking game.
