I have always stood on the wall in the west stand and I am not going to change now. Why should we segrigate the ground just to make life easier for the security contractors, if they can't controll the crowd get someone in who can. I say leave well alone and let the people who attend the game decide where they will sit/stand.

I know a few of you have raised the question on here already but I seriously fail to see how this will be managed when the likes of Hull, KR and Leeds arrive (and Cas obviously). I dont have a problem with being stood down the side, Hull fans have been doing it years but I cant remember the last time we brought less than 1800..throw in the fact that home supporters will be stood there as well and youve got a bit of an issue to say the least.

As a lot of us have pointed out a Stupid idea as plenty of us like to be down that side and have for years.OK when we move to a new ground that ground will be a lot better to say home fans here and away there.Belle Vue is not a ground where you can do it and the only way would be to fence each end of the north stand and make the turnstiles that end season ticket only.You still then have the problem of home fans going down the western terrace anyway.The only way to do that would be fence the south end of that terrace and make the turnstiles away tickets only.You then make for some very unhappy home fans and have away fans going nuts because they are in a queue for 2 turnstile to get in.

Well you will have lost our revenue 4 adults 2 concessions and 3 kids, always stood behind sticks 20 years plus, didn't bother last year with the let's go north crap and wont be bothering this year!!!!

This weekend will be the perfect test of this brainwave when HKR fans come over in their millions. Personally I think it could get farcical but let's see on Saturday.

I think its just a ploy to scare us into getting there early to make us listen to Forgettable Rogues.

It's a good idea just needs to be policed properly, it's the clubs responsibly for the safety of both home and away fans and numerous occasions last season in the north stand there was trouble so the club has to act on this. Yes it's hard to segregate belle Vue and the north stand is where aways fans have traditionally stood but I think the idea is to let away fans know the north stand is now the home stand and western terrace is now the away terrace. It's not perfect but the north stand full of Trin is like an extra man why let the away fans have it. If we don't offer some sort of segregation you'll get2 sets of partisan supporters thinking the stand is theirs and often ends in tears and spoils the enjoyment for the rest of us who just want to watch the match and cheer on the mighty Trin

That's the problem. They allocate a side of the ground that is very popular with home support when they should more sensibly have allocated the East Stand paddock where relatively few fans go. I'd be interested to her the rationale behind that. I'm sure the home dugout will be delighted to have the Hull KR lot screaming in their ears all the way through.

That's why it needs policing properly not just a half hearted "you stand there" and not following it up which will probably happen. If its going to work the club needs to do it right

Seeing as your location is Wakefield, I'm assuming you're a Wakey fan. I don't see your problem, the stand you have always stood in is still there - just with a roof!

If you enjoy standing in the open air with away fans, then you can always go to the West terrace?

The Wheldon Rd End is now members only but fans can still stand/sit in any other part of the ground they want.

Members only home fans only same thing. We haven't had a proper home stand since they ripped the heart and soul of the ground (the south bank) down . So it's great to finally have a stand to see out our last couple of seasons at belle Vue until we move in the Wakefield community stadium which will be state of the art for both home and away fans. RL is not a segregated sport but whenever I get a ticket for an away match it's nearly always for a specific part of the ground

Although it holds fewer fans, I fully agree with you Slugger and as others have mentioned, there are many Trin fans that occupy the Western Terrace, but not so many in the East Stand.
If the club had done this, it would also have been simple for entry and exit to and from the ground but, what do we know ??

I've never had bother with away fans, other than big headed Hull FC fans who find defeat hard to take, and even then it was attitude rather than aggression. This whole business of segregation leaves me cold, and is the easy option to take rather than tackling the few idiots we occasionally see.

I hardly think this is a ham fisted way of getting rid of idiots, it's more a very naive way of concentrating the home support in one stand, nothing more sinister than that!

Will there be restricted entry points on Sat? If there's turnstile issues, as with the Fev game, it won't look good.

Completely agree with Slugger, as I said before the East stand/paddock is the most sply populated area of the ground. It seems daft to encourage the away supporters to congregate where a lot of home fans stand.

As an aside, I’m not sure if I've missed it, but will home supporters be able to get into and out of the North bank to facilitate those who 'change ends' at half time?

It wont be aproblem against the smaller clubs but, its going to be packed down the West side on Saturday.

In the presence of the Sky cameras too! I sincerely hope that it all goes smoothly! As previously said, until people start screaming their heads of after scoring a try, how can you differentiate for certain 100%. I can see the situation now, away fans celebrate a try, a few home fans complain, stewards intervene and get heavy handed and the situation could escalate from there. I've seen it before but i hope it doesn't happen.
