As for comments about laying off Kear. I appreciate with the mess we were in pre-admin the squad is limited, but he chose what we signed with the money available and he is the one who is making the task harder for the team by insisting on picking a full back on the bench and making some players ie Johnson do too many minutes and others like Amor not enough.

He has to take some of the blame for us running out of steam in the 2nd half for the last 2 weeks having kept ourselves in the arm wrestle after 40

fair enough his team selection recently hasn't been the best, but he has lead us to great results this year with the squad we have (hull, catalans, even warrington). and did he say he wanted to go to catalans? no he didn't, he said he had a job to do and was going to stick to it!

Agree totally, last week 2nd half scoreline 28-2, this week second half scoreline 28-6. Something that needs addressing if we are to keep competitive as I don't think we're that far off.

The so called selection blunder worked well today, with Murphy limping off we had the perfect replacement on the bench. I must admit though personally i would have liked to have seen Wildie on the bench instead of Vievers but Kear is coach for a reason and fair play to Vievers because i think he did well when he came on.

With fans like you i'd want away ASAP. you have cleary no idea about RL and have never coached or played.

Lucky was all it was. No other team goes into a game with a full back on the bench, would normally ask one of your other backs to slot in if required. A full back on the bench in ordinary circumstances is a luxury no team can afford

I was looking at some Wakefield match reports from previous years today...Kears selection of having a Winger/FB/Centre on the bench seems to be quite an occurance. V. Huddersfield in 2008 we had Blanch on the Bench....now thats pointless!

Didn't we have blaymire on the bench the other season or so against Leeds at Headingly? He was brought on after half an hour and everything had to be changed around to accommodate him again.

Having Blanch on the field or on the bench was pointless, for my money Wildie should have played and i do hope Ben gets a shirt next week.

Fitness, cost you this week and by all accounts cost you last week, the players you had on show are good enough you just don't last the pace.

Yes but some players fitness seems to be affected from having to do more work than others because of the bench that Kear picks and the length of time some players spend on the field compared to others.

Yes pal...from my very brief research from reports we have had the following on the bench in recent times:

Blaymire
Blanch
Millard
Veivers
Petersen

With more than these appearing twice....JK, rightly or wrongly believes that is method behind this.

True and if you had 3 forwards on the bench you should have been fine, the injury didn't help you granted but Kear should be experienced enough to know when to interchange players.

I don't think we are as fit as we could be, that said it did not bother us at Hull, in fact they got stronger during the game, maybe its catching up with them.

Grix is a utility, he played wing, fb, 6 and loose for Trinity.
