Was noticeable yesterday that when Luke George started rubbing his hamstring and then when Glenn Morrison visited Disneyland, that our support team is positively sporting compared to other teams. It's certainly not any excuse to get on the pitch with our lads!

No he was at that game as his son was playing in one of the warm up games. Willie is one of the nicest guys you can ever meet, to say he is assistant coach at the 3 times champions coach of their U20's, coach of Samoa and father of 3 very active lads he will always give his time when asked and he and his wife worked tirelessly and so unselfishly for the Adam Watene Fund throughout 2009. Willi was also instrumental in getting the Leeds Club so involved in the Fund too. Altough Leeds are in my eyes the enemy, through Willi last year I did have so much admiration for how Leeds helped support so many of the Adam Fund events. Willi may be heavier than in his playing days but I bet he is still fitter than a large percentage of folk on the terraces , he probably spends no more time than any other trainer on the pitch , its just he wears such a bright top and we notice him cos we love him. Yes Al he rang me last night despite their loss he was still doing stuff for the Fund within an hour of the final hooter such is the measure of the man

Legend, at least one season he nearly single handedly kept us in the SL, we wouldn't be where we are today without his hard work and others like him.

I never understand any fan slating the "trainers" entering the field, all clubs are as bad as each other for it, either the RFL deal with it or the fans do.

i recall him wiping out sean long in a tackle gathering the loose ball and scoring under the sticks in front of the flats .....longy was still on his backside as willie walk passed him ready for the conversion.

There is no such thing at present. Can't see our management indulging in such as folly as Leeds Tykes either. From the match 'action' Sky insisted on playing repeatedly on Sunday night, they don't really seem to be pulling in the crowds to justify tearing up the pitch either.
