Capacity of BV is 11,000 isnt it?

Just 2,000 at Salford last night and just over 7k at Leeds. Hope we can send out another message to the RFL.

If we could get more than Leeds that would be impressive considering their average attendance is more than double ours.

Whatever the crowd may be we will need to be careful not to read too much into it. 7k at Headingley and the low crowd at Salford show that there is general apathy towards the cup - and even when tickets were 'Free' with the season-tickets many did not go.

On the up side, this is a far more attractive game than either of the 2 above and the sides are local to each other. On the down side, the game is all-pay; is on the telly and there may be trouble parking for the match. These may well balance out to some degree and, like all, I would love to see 8k plus, certainly 7k as I think this is the number that makes BV appear full-ish.

Fingers crossed for a good turn-out, a good game and a good result!

That's more than decent for a televised Challenge Cup game these days, especially in the relatively early rounds.

Fair play to both sets of supporters for that one.

Not a bad crowd. Good turn out from Cas but I did think there were a lot more Wakefield fans than at our last few well attended games. It was a lot busier down the western terracing.

Definitely a few newbie’s at BV today, a guy next to me had to ask his mate who Neil Fox was.

Have to say that its along time since i've seen so many Wakey fans with smiley, happy faces at the ground, have noticed the last few games that theres a Buzz in the air at BV again, maybe its just a small buzz but its there and its growing.

Even the miserable old git who stands near the old boxes smiled today and that does not happen often.

Good turnout considering it was on gas fired tv. Think this will have knocked at least 2000 off the gate. But you would have missed a great atmosphere!

Get used to it - if the club is going to attract new supporters, I'm ok if they don't have to do a correspondence course on the history of Wakefield Trinity before they're allowed in.

What I find way more objectionable than a lack of knowledge about former players, however great they were, is the hardcore of miserable old gits who whine and moan at the tops of their voices about everything the players do, or don't do, from kick off to the final whistle.

Indeed - and most of them seem to wish to bag certain players who, regadless of their giving 100%, still find themselves singled out on here.

I'm like a magnet for them; yesterday, it was a tall, bespectacled character with a very loud, whiney voice, berating the players about 'man & ball' tackles, reminding them to 'go up in a line' and calling every single Cas player offside on every single play the ball. Grating.

Please stay away from me then - I don't need them!

On here is less objectionable - this place, by its nature, is populated by the hardcore, who aren't going to be put off by the miserable old gits brigade. Also, as you say, it's free and it isn't compulsory to read the demented ramblings of some of the more 'eccentric' posters.
