| I've had enough of it all to be honest working ourselves up to deadlines that keep getting extended at the last minute. The club seems to have gone quiet the last few days I reckon they know what's going to happen and not letting on. I'm setting myself up for disappointment but hopefully I'm wrong.

| As has been said on another thread this is just typical of how local and central government work, at their pace with no regard for deadlines, either theirs or someone else', and oblivious to the difficulties and anguish their attitude causes.

| I am not sure where this speculation about the council meeting that happened today was going to ratify the LDF came from. I originally understood that the target for adopting the LDF sites plan was always June 2012, but that was before the hearings were delayed, due to the Newmarket PI and then delayed again due to the new National Planning Policy Framework, same as the Newmarket Planning application. I understand that it will either go before full council in July or more likely September (with the summer break & no meeting in August). It was not on the agenda for today, which would have been released some time last week.
However, it matters not one bit really, because it is going to be voted through, most likely unanimously, as a formality. They can't mess about with the sites plan, they either ratify it it full or turn the whole thing down. They are not going to turn it down, because that would go against the point of the public hearings and the independent inspection as well as throw four years worth of work and tax payer money out with it.
What mattered with the LDF was the inspectors final report, which is of course very favourable to the Newmarket site, the fact the council have not gone through the final and very small step of adopting it is almost irrelevant.
Trust me, this is not the reason the decision has been delayed and if what I have heard is true, and I think it might be, the reason the decision has been delayed is very mundane indeed.
No, I won't be sharing the reason until after the decision is made or a new deadline is set, because it might unfounded and I do know that know one, WMDC, the Club, Yorkcourt has been formally told anything more than we all know... & that is nothing!
The club are quiet and I can guess the reason... what ever the decision, positive or negative, they have to live with it, move on and keep running a professional sports club... and they have nothing more to say, because there is nothing more to say.
Sorry, reading this back it sounds a bit of a rant... it isn't, I think we are all feeling the anxiety and although I could not be more positive than I am now we all still have the small voice saying 'but what if it isn't?'

Someone posted it on here as a possible reason for the delay in announcing the PI result and it has gone on to become received wisdom; it's what people do when they're desperate.

| I read on here that the LDF was to be ratified on 20th June and took it as gospel. I suspect that came about because as I-A has said the Council was to adopt the LDF in June (before the delays) and two and two have been put together and five made.
If as I-A has said the delay is mundane I suspect we'll not have long to wait and my money is on an announcement before the end of the week or early next week.
I have no doubt it will be positive and as frustrating as it is we'll have to be patient a bit longer but we will be celebrating shortly.

Sort of yes, a few of us knew a couple of hours before about the delay but we were trying to find out about a possible reason before breaking the news.
David Nichol from the Express does have a contact in the SoS office but he was told, even by his contact, exactly what we were told, a delay but no reason for it.
As I said to you Kinley, Mark Bradley is just hoping that it comes before the Express deadline today, so he does not have to wait a week to print what we hope will be old news by a week on Friday!

I'm probably clutching at straws like many others, BUT if David Nichol has a contact, it isn't beyond the realm's of possibility that he may well be aware of something???
Surely Mark Bradley has enough experience to tell him that him wishing for something to happen; doesn't make it happen.
Like i said mate, I'm just clutching..............................................................................but you never know!!!

The final sign-off from SoS for Newmarket. Final decision due to be issued on or before 13th September.
We can then, I think, get to see the final documentation & the signed section 106 agreement as well.
We also think we will get an e-mail (the parties to the inquiry) from the SoS office like last time, but can't be sure. As soon as anything lands I will post it up.
We are not expecting anything other than confirmation it is all sorted & planning is now formally granted.

Taken from our friends over the commons forum. Starting to believe Yorkcourt are playing for time for some reason. Any comments welcome.
[iBack to the wakefield's stadium, the 106 agreement still has not been submitted. This should have been sorted back when Wakefield Council approved the planning before the PI, why are they getting so many deadlines extended??
Here's the proof:

Dear Sir/Madam
Further to Pamela Robert's letter of 20 June on the above, you will wish to know that the Secretary of State will not issue a decision on this case on the previously notified date of 13 September. This is because we have yet to receive a completed copy of a s106 planning obligation from the appellants. We are however assured by the appellants that a completed document will be sent to us very soon. We will allow further time for taking a final decision to allow for receipt of that document.
We will issue a decision as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for the delay in deciding this case.

This is contrary to what Mr Armadillo said to all his followers on the 16th August, so who's lying to the Wakefield fans? Yorkcourt or Armadillo???

Well, whomever they are would be incorrect.
We were told everything was going well last week but we just wanted to get final definitive confirmation before posting anything.
We have just had confirmation, direct from Colin Mackie himself, that everything has gone in to the deadline and the SoS and his team are all working well together.
So, now we wait again!

If a 106 agreement can't be agreed it will definitely be an interesting outcome to the planning![/i
