Plot 8 being approved means we get the funding from YC right?
Do we still have plans to be approved on Belle Vue yet?

The belle view development got passed prior to the plot 8 application. So both passed. Secretary of state has 21 days to asses and call in if needed I believe. 8.8million has to be transferred for the belle view development before any work can start on plot 8

It's possible but unlikely. They could have done that without getting planning permission and just waited for the club to fade and die which wouldn't have taken long and then could have done it for free.

I can't go into too much detail and frankly, I don't possess the ability to explain it but there are other safeguards in place, it's not just Plot 8.

If you know TRB, he was there and he understands these things way better than I do.

Question ,By the look of Newmarket plans some of the buildings on plots have not been finished .Is it right to think that it no work is done on plot 8 we do not get the cash .If so are Yorkcort going to do no building on plot 8 and stop us from getting the cash to keep us in S L .The same as they did all those years ago Sorry if it's a silly Questions but I am not in the know of how these things work like some of you thank you

I don’t know how long the delivery plan will take

A set of Planning Obligations are proposed to be included within a legal agreement Under Section 106 of the Act which would be signed by both Spirit of 1873 (The Club) and Newmarket Lane Ltd and would require the £8.8m contribution to be made within 1 week of the approval of a Delivery Plan for the stadium improvement project. A further (negatively framed) planning obligation would bar Newmarket Lane Ltd from commencing the warehouse development until both the approval of the Delivery Plan and the payment of the contribution.

Well this is great news.
I was thinking we'd never see this day.

I know there are a few more steps to go but I've never been more confident that we'll a stadium we deserve.

Is Feb still the start date for the improvements to begin ?

JM has recently said some work will start February, mainly underground. (I would imagine this is electrical, drains etc) we should see bulldozers on site mid April, it’s a 12 month build,

I’m pleased for the club and supporters thanks to mc and jm for there hard work but I’m not changing my mind over the deal with yc they’ve pood on us from a great height it will be Never forgotten not now not ever !!!

We know that we all know that, you keep telling us but it makes no difference so what's the point?

Great news. Don’t think it was likely not to get passed but an important milestone non the less.

I’m close friends with someone on the PM team looking after this project and I’m aware the club have been discussing this with a contractor for some time who are keen and he assures me the financial side is now under control.

Absolutely fantastic news. I didn't look at the stream or on here until now just in case I jinxed it (every time I tune into a Trin match, within 5 minutes the opposition scores!!

). Yes, it may have taken a long time and there are still some steps to go but for those who have worked tirelessly to get to this point there must be some relief and pleasure. A big THANK YOU to them.

Like others I can't wait until the £8.8 million is in the bank and the diggers are on site, but unlike some I'm going to be happy tonight and be optimistic about the future (and raise a glass or 2 or 3 or....)
