Don't know much about 2016 but 2015 he was one of the Bulls top performers.

Ferguson had a spell on loan at Hull KR if memory serves me correctly so Chester should be familiar with working with him.

Ferguson is a decent player in his own right and would be handy to have in the squad but is he better than what we already have? Not so sure he is to be honest so would go against what Chester said about going for extra quality rather than quantity so it would be a surprise if we went down that route.

Liked him when he was here and always looked a strong and dangerous runner when he's played against Trinity. I'd be happy with his capture if we weren't so over stocked with back rowers.

I like him - always have; solid, no nonsense and a good work-rate. If he is coming, maybe someone else is going?

Always like Ferguson myself, good workrate, he's been playing at a lower level for a while so haven't seen much of him recently but a good solid performer who gets stuck in is what I remember from his spell here before.

I'm sure I remember John Kear saying something along the lines of "he would be an international if not at Wakefield". I think JK may have had some influence in this and I'd like to see him back.

Can't believe people don't rate Ferguson - what's wrong with you. No superstar but a very good and very hard working SL forward for the money - get a grip.

As I recall he had a very good game in the million pound game, in fact he looked to me the best forward on the pitch that day.

If we sign him and offload Tupou its a win win for me.

Was coming into his own when he was with us, before the lure of 'Uncle Ken'.
Played well at Shudds and towards the back end at Shudds had back problems.
Moved to HKR and they didn't really see much of him due to the back problem and ended up at Bulls.
Another one that would be classed as 'own' trained.

For me if we were getting the same Ferguson that was with us and then Hudds I'd be fairly happy. Saying that, although his games missed are overplayed by some (he missed 5 weeks last season and a similar amount the year before), so although he won't be expensive, he'd be a bit of a risky signing for a club like ours imo. I suppose it comes down to how bad his back has got and whether it will hold up at least as well as it did in the Championship.

Tbf Gaskill is far more injury prone, he plays less and less each year, just 12 games last season, similar to Clough at 13. Apart from that he's not as good as Miller anyway.

Remind me, please. Did Ferguson ask to leave in the first place or did Huddersfield poach him from us when we were forced to sell Murphy, Obst and others in that fire sale a few seasons ago?
