Poor old Scruton was feeling it yesterday, he hasn't been himself this year. We need him to step it up. Don't think it's an attitude problem, he just looked knackered in both games. Hope he's ok.

He was the same last year. I mentioned this multiple times only to be shot down. The guy isn't what he used to be. It's sad but that is simply what I see when I go to watch (every home game and a handful of away games btw).

I'm really looking forward to Simon, Annakin, England, Moore being in the same pack. Their returns can't come quick enough. I don't understand what Brian Smith doesn't see in Annakin. He is better than what has been playing.

Just out of casual interest, how did the club's potential saviour go against Dewsbury reserves?

He went very well before injury, the stand out player was Hall. Of most concern was that the Wakefield team contained 10 / 11 full time pro players, they were playing against a semi pro teams reserves ie part time reserves and we only just managed to sneak a win. Makes you wonder about the quality of our SL full time players. Maybe 5 or 6 of those players should have been sacrificed in order to employ the services of one quality half back.

Disagree with you there Belly,Simon for me.Can't judge too much from the game,considering most haven't had much game time some coming back from injury and a mixture of young 19s thrown in around your full time players.

I have been impressed by England, he has been one of the few bright spots so far. He semi to make metres and is looking to offload, (it would be nice if we could back him up). He tackles well but the most impressive thing is the big minutes he has been playing.

It certainly wouldn't hurt if we found another like him.

England's stats against Hull KR are outstanding again.

He made 37 tackles and only missed 1, and made most carries in the forwards with 18 carries with an average gain of 7.39 metres.
2 errors and no penalties conceded.

Tremendous work rate and already a fans favourite. I just hope he stays sound because he doesn't hold back as we would miss him

Similarly, Finn made 34 tackles and missed only 1

Tupou made only 7 carries but averaged 9.57m with each of them, 40 tackles made, missed only 2.

BJB made 4 errors vs Widnes but not made one in the last 2 games.

England has also made the most carries (55) out of anyone in the league! Considering how little possession we've had especially in the last 2 weeks, that's impressive.

What an astute signing he's proved to be so far, best of the new players by some distance, like it's already been said, let's just hope we can hang onto him for more one season!!

He and Simon must be two of the strongest running props in Super League.

I'm glad that he's making a go of it for you lads, I always thought he gave 100% in the P&B and although raw he seemed to make his errors by trying too hard. I did think that we might have been hasty showing him the door, unless he wanted more guaranteed game time and a club nearer home, although TBF I'm quite impressed with our new 'project' prop Cox.

I expect England will be giving it his all on Friday, should be interesting?

Shame Trinity lost Mullally at the end of the season to Leeds as England, Simon and Mullally would have been our top 3 props and caused some real impact...

Its alright having a good selection of decent props and forwards,but we need creative backs to take advantage. My question is,do we have enough quality,depth and speed in the backs?

Without a competitive pack the backs have no chance no matter how good they are. As for your question that's for a different discussion thread I think but..enough speed with Ben Jones Bishop, Johnstone, Lynne and Miller...
