I'm up for this! For reasons unknown to me I prefer going to evening games and it would give me something to watch on a Monday, harsh on the travelling fans though!

Too many people think the world stops turning at 5pm.some of us do shifts,not stuck in an office watching the world go by.why do they think in the past football was on Saturdays and rugby on Sundays?????

Maybe a better chance for the game to be seen by others on a Monday. Saturday teatime never feels right. If it's a third game, bring it on. If it's in place of the Saturday game, I think its better. Would only affect us a couple of times, and the same for all clubs.

The issue might be those teams who have to back up the following Friday. This isn't Wendyball.

Ah but don't forget some people work Sundays too!

if they did local matches on monday nights it wouldnt be THAT bad. eg wakefield vs cas/ leeds/ huddersfield/ bradford at 8. hull vs hull kr. saints/ wigan/ warrington/ salford/ widnes.

as long as its one of these games i dont see it affecting the crowds so much, if for example it is widnes vs hull.... no one will go.

I have to say something like this is music to my ears. I have to miss so many Friday night and Saturday night games through work that this is just up my street. As I didn't want to miss Widnes I had to book Friday off but as I'm self employed won't get paid. Monday and Tuesday are my days off so better for me all round. I can understand most peoples point of view though and I guess I'm in the minority here, but certainly this is great news for me.

Haha very funny you lot! Some of my work is at a regular venue so had to book the night off. I know it sounds like a conundrum when you read it because I'm self employed but when you have a job like mine you'll understand. ( Bet that still sounds like a conundrum eh Bren ) Anyway I will be at Widnes cheering on the boys so that's all that matters.

Well if you must know I'm a full time DJ and / or Quiz presenter and compiler. I work in a top Leeds nightclub on Friday nights and present my Quizzes in and around Wakefield. Am thinking of organising a History Of Wakefield Trinity Quiz for the end of the season so look out for that. Just got to organise the venue. Hope that clears up any confusion, flasher indeed!

never understood why they stopped the regular Sunday night games in favour of Saturday. 6.30pm on a Sunday seems the ideal time to me

Thanks Bren, will have a word at Cats Bar and also get in touch with the Club. Have had it in mind to do for some time, with all the video and dvd footage I have along with my memorabilia, should be able to put something together.

All this about travelling when we are talking about rugby league.

Most of the opponents are on the M62 corridor. All but Catalan and Harlequins.

At least we don't have the long haul from one side of the country to the other like Hull/HKR v Widnes or Warrington.

Seeing as I work in Portsmouth Mon-Fri, I would be watching on the TV rather than making use of my season ticket. Hopefully knowing Sky they will go for the 'bankers' to get advertising revenue in, so we are unlikely to be included. I reckon Wigan/Saints/Leeds/Wire are the clubs they will be going for.
