Not that much difference between the two, Wigan have conceded around 19 points a game on average this year, Cas around 25 on average a game so not miles apart based on the stats.

If TJ is fit I think he should move to the right and leave Murphy on the left… TJ is the more experienced player and should be able to handle the switch with more confidence

I’ve only seen Johnstone play right wing once…many seasons ago against Toulouse in the cup at home…he had an absolute nightmare…don’t think we’ll see him move from the left! Some can adapt, some can’t…you’d think it wouldn’t make that much difference but suppose it’s a bit like playing either side full back at football…I’ve done both many times and always felt more comfortable right side…

Leave your best strike weapon where he's most comfortable.

At least WP knows first hand what it's like to play against Cas in SL - and how much it really means to us, especially after such a humiliating run against them

We need Tom Johnstone on the left wing. Against Wigan Gaskell put some superb kicks that landed right on the wigan try-line and each time we got a drop out from them. A dropout is worth 0pts. If Johnstone is on that wing with kicks like those he contests (and usually wins) the ball, resulting in tries and points.
the Wigan game was a carbon copy of Hull at home, loads of good field position and possession but no end result.
Murphy is doing really well in his development, but comparing him to TJ is ridiculous and just wrong at this stage of his career.

Surely, you need your best players in their best positions ?
FWIW, I think Murphy does look more comfortable on the left.
However, as most of our play seems to be centred on getting the ball across to the left wing, you want your best player/finisher on the end of those moves
and this is not being disrespectful to young Murphy, it's just how it should be.

We bang on on about not putting square pegs in round holes and some on here want to switch our best attacking force for last few years from his usual LW position to RW...

Be good to keep TJ matched with Fonua. I would think if Gaskell puts in some kicks like he did against Wigan that TJ would gather a few.

Saw a hilarious claim on the Cas board earlier that they have the best left winger in Super League in Greg Eden, I don`t think he`s even top 5 tbh and someone above just made a good point, if TJ plays, those Gaskell kicks land in his hands and its a Wakefield try 95% of the time.

On current form Eden is mist definitely in the list if top wingers.
I'm certain he'll score against us.

As I say he wouldn`t be in the top 5 IMO, let alone the best in the league.

One game he can be one of the best the next he is an error waiting to happen. He has obviously improved the Castleford’s performances.

The lad can score tries, no doubt about it, but in games I've seen on tv most of the time he's got a clear run to the line, his team mates having engineered the overlap. For a lot of Tom's tries he's got men to beat on the way to the line. Not often he gets a clear run to the line.

Eden's raw pace makes him always a threat but his habit of going for an interception is his main weakness followed by errors collecting kicks. Against Hull KR he also threw two wild passes that let the opposition off the hook.
We can't afford to give him space to run but must give him the ball. Simples.
