When the rain hammered down in the first half we struggled to put pressure on hulls line with dropped balls and knock ons , although hull were no better .But a different team ran out in the second half and pressured hull even when we were down to 12 .
To be honest hull just went through the motions and didn’t threaten us for most of second half with us being well in control.
Horo put a shift in with his tackling and our forwards never took a backwards step .
Overall A fine evenings work ,and who knows if the heavens hadn’t opened we could have ran another cricket score up

I thought we were a bit off in attack in the first half but defensively good as Hull seemed to have the lions share of possession. Second half was great, still some great defense but attack had improved considerably. We didn't panic at 13-7 down and upped it another notch which was too much for Hull and we ran out comfortable winners in the end.
Some good performances tonight, Pauli Pauli was immense taking three and four defenders to put him down, it seems to be working playing that little bit wider out as the opposition fringe defenders were struggling to handle him.

Yes, he certainly had his dancing shoes on for that one.
Superb performance from the lads tonight, totally bossed Hull in the second half, especially in the pack but, definitely a team effort. Fifita and Pauli caused no end of problems but, great metres made by our threequarters , especially Tupou and Lyne and great to see England back in the side.

Well worth the trip over and radio Humberside was really entertaining on the way back

There was absolutely nothing on for him. He had no right to score. He just never gave up.

Noticed hull still have us down as wildcats which was on our tickets.would have thought the name Trinity would have filtered through by now .

TJs try from nothing was top draw!

I've watched TJs try back on Sky Sports and I just don't see how that try can be scored.

He broke or evaded 5 tacklers in close range, which put him 10-15 metres out, stood still with 4 tacklers within near touching distance, and he still got to the line untouched.

Whilst delighted with tha last 30 mins, Chessy's comments summarised exactly what I felt. For 50 mins we seemed intent on losing a game we really ought to be winning and I was beginning to think it was going to be another very annoying night. However, hats off to them, when playing badly, they hung on in in defence. When required, they put the foot on the gas peddle and showed what they are capable of in spite of the slap dash stuff they had been coming up with in possession prior to that. Well done lads. It really is exciting to watch some of the players we have and worth the admission fee alone to see Johnstone and Pauli's tried and Fifita sort Taylor out!

I know other non wakey fans are aware of tom but I don't think they realise how good he is and how much better he will get

He's one of the top try scorers in the league and half the tries he scored could only be scored by Tommy or poss RH

Tom to me is the next Ryan Hall
Tom is pure class

IF we can keep on winning, we would overtake Shudds on points difference (assuming we can beat them

).
Hull look a bit broken and Catalan look to be focusing on the cup final which leave us and Shudds trying to do the impossible and catch Warrington, who may also become distracted by the Cup final.
Mind you, the wheels would need to come off in spectacular style for us to catch them, which looks very, very unlikely.

Saints look a little bit rocky though and we have chance of another win on Thursday

As a Hull fan lets, me assist. Johnson’s try was possible due to the abject efforts make to tackle him. Fair play, he needed to do something other than run into a defender , something most of hulls players seemed happy to do, but let’s not get away from the guard of honour in black and white which showed him the way

One guy maybe, two possible.... But I reckon those players would have liked to be able to stop him.

Give over, TJ is going to be far better than Hall.

Ryan Hall is a large battering ram on the wing, mind you a good one at that. TJ is a speedy, side stepping wizard who can score from any distance.

Would rather have TJ than Hall any day.

I like TJ a lot but Hall has been at the top of the game a long time. I think even TJ would say he'd like to be as consistently good as Hall.

Hall has been a fantastic player over the years and is much more than a "large battering ram on the wing". Him and TJ are 2 completely different players and are both quality at what they do.

I remember a couple of seasons ago at BV Tom chased a ball down and ran with ut. By the time Hall had turned round and gave chase Tom was out of sight, after 20 meters Hall stopped the chase.

Its no accident that Pauli Pauli is running at Sneed, if he's on his own he's better off just gettin out the way tbh.
PP is becoming quite a presence on the field, I thought Paea showed up for the codheads pretty well too.
