There is an interesting piece regarding Belle Vue and the early development of the ground in '100 YEARS OF RUGBY, The history of Wakefield Trinity Football Club 1873-1973' by JC Lindley.

I bought that book at that time along with a special franked envelope and a card with information of the club honours to that date. The envelope and card are in a frame on the house wall.

Sep 1898 - style, 'including' used twice in one sentence, could just use 'with' in the first instance

Perhaps the record ground attendance could have been mentioned, although the match did not include WT.
I quote from the JC Lindley book highlighted above, where it talks of the cycle track being removed and the raised banking became spectator accommodation.

'Otherwise there could not have been that record attendance of 37,906 for the Huddersfield-Leeds Cup semi-final on March 21st, 1936.'

That’s odd because on the proof print they are both there. To late now, just have to see if it prints ok for the printer. As I say I can live with it.

This is a great effort mate and is an example of someone who has a positive attitude towards moving the club forward.
From the Top down to the fans on the terrace, we all need to be pulling in the same direction…

You don't need to the club is paying.

Keep your powder dry for something else. This was such a rush job that it didn't seem right to ask the fans and also it won't make money and we though fans might want to back a money maker in the future.

To late it's printed now.

Hoping at some point to do something more substantial, maybe with the Heritage boys, that we can make the club some money from. This is just a little something for the Sunday so although I'd love it to be perfect the turn around time didn't allow much in the way of checking and editorial.

On anything I ask you lot to contribute to in the future will have a much longer lead time and I will include you all as it goes along.

Something I'm thinking of is our 25 years of SL, assuming we make it. Not just a book but also a video available on Trinity TV. But that's way off.
