No game for the crigg u'9s this week- should of been playing heworth , but they said they'd only have six players . Saves a trip to York though, and i can really enjoy my breakfast in bed !

thats a shame paul who coaches heworth has tried very hard to get some more bodies to play but has a constant battle with kids going to football,i know he has already said that come the end of the year enough may be enough if things didnt improve which would be very tough on them because they have some very good players.

is there not another side in that area or does it become to far for them to travel

ACORN.

the u9s already merged with acorn at the start of this year because acorn couldnt raise enough players,they started the season with 11 players but in recent weeks they have dropped down to 9 players and with it been that time of year when there are always one or two on holidays its a struggle for them to get a team on the field.

a fantastic game was played between two very good sides this morning with the cas panthers coming out on top 28-20,both sides really got stuck into one another with some big tackles coming in from both sides and some good rugby played,in the end there wasnt too much between the teams and whilst the win for us is nice the performance was better than the result.

Stanley rangers under 10's won 26 points to 6 against a massive East leeds side, great game. This season played 24 won 23 in top div now so a great effort.

are you getting soft with them

well I did request public flogging for the defeat, but I gave them another chance. The last game next week against Drig so should be a good one, and I am very pleased its the end of the season.

I have recruited three fantastic players for next season, so we will be there or there abouts, happy days ahead.

he was very good first half scored a cracking try right on half time from his own line,he was a bit more quiet in the second half although he distrubuted the ball well which is something he`s working hard on.

he was hoping to get his hatrick today so it would bring up his 50th for the season on fathers day but there is always next week.

looking forward to the festival its going to be very tough, 4 very good teams have confirmed so far and anyone of them could win it,looking forward to a break tbh its been a very hard and long season and im ready for re-charging my batteries with a well earned rest.has i told richard this league is an outstanding league with not one easy game which is pushing every team forward at a good rate,i watch quite a bit of u10s u11s rugby and this is a very good age group with at least half a dozen teams that could compete at the level above no problem.

Thanks for your hospitality yesterday Rob. I must agree about the standard of the game, some of those boys (for both teams) are a joy to watch. Played in good spirit aswell, especially as there were quite a few big hits!!

sad end to our season as the last game against stanningley has been canceled, we have finished training our last training session and now look forward to the coming season as the under 12s where they now up the stage and play full rules and longer halfs.

how did the games go ?

9s lost 18-10 / 8s lost by quite a few but hunslet were great
did not go to the 9s but apparently was a very tough match played by 2 good teams

Crigg under 9's beat eastmoor 32-28 . The lads were 16-0 up in the first half and cruising but then ( and this always seems to happen !!) there seemed to be a lot of penalties to eastmoor on the last tackle - which stretched to 7 at some points- but nevermind eh!
Great game to be honest and neither side let themselves down - looking forward to a lie in on a weekend now though

cas panthers u9s season ended in a sorry state after losing 24-6 at stanningley,the scoreline isnt important to what went off on the field and from the touchline.

i dont want to go into to much detail other than to say that two of our best players were subjected to something no player should go through with one player needing medical attention.

today i brought my team of 9 year olds off the field and wanted to walk away but my players refused to be beaten and finished the game despite been subjected to awful treatment.

ermmm penalty on the last ....did you play at eastmoor by any chance and if so how many penalties were for off side

my lad got caned their this year and DVD evidence clearly shows that the HB had moved on every occasion
