The points deduction was for breaking the cap iirc. I think it was set as a percentage of turnover or something similar back then.
I also think we were assessed on the wages we should have paid rather than what we actual ended up playing (or didn't end up paying really  ) |

We were fined for the Robinson fiasco but the points which were originally 6 reduced to 4 on appeal definitely related to breaking the salary cap. I may be mistaken but I believe Wigan were deducted points for a similar infringement, the only difference being we did not have the money to pay the contracts and Wigan did.

It’s certainly what I would do but that said no player would want to play on a slippy muddy pitch.
Hopefully it will be dry and we will see some good quality rugby. That’s what fans want to see of both teams. |
