My live take at the game was that he lost the challenge to the ball and wrapped Murphy up who was mid leap and in doing so came down adding weight to Murphy.

Whether that’s correct on the replay idk as I haven’t looked. It looked reactive and reckless to me rather than intentional but I thought it worth of a penalty at the time and unfortunately it’s resulted in an injury to a player that’s ended his season.

Regardless, it wasn’t cited so that’s the end of it and Murphy won’t play again this season. We have to move on and it gives other wingers opportunity.

Better just to move on and stay positive.

Newman back and Bentley for this one , so should get at least some time playing against 12 men , and get a look and see if Newmans hamstrings are anything but cheesestrings . When we beat them I don’t want the excuses they were down on their star players

Just to warn you that driving through Leeds is a nightmare at the moment anyone driving over tomorrow give yourselves plenty of time. I come from Rothwell and it took me 40 minutes to get to Headingly for the Hull game.

I’m sure if we can give Leeds a thumping the weather will pale into insignificance , everything always feels worse when you lose. Just digging the thermals out as the old metal knees don’t like the cold

I'd imagine the game will be on - Leeds have undersoil heating so pitch wont be an issue.

Problem is going to be roads and the ones around the ground. M62 is fairly clear our side. trains are running with delays this morning,

No under soil heating which was taken out many seasons ago.

Either way they have the fancy grow lights, so pitch won't be a problem

I’ve been on M62/M1 and some roads in Cas and Wakefield today and absolutely no issue. In fact it was faster than a usual weekday morning trip.

So long as you set off with extra time and drive to the conditions there’s really no issue.

I stand corrected they do appear to have under soil heating which I thought had been removed due to it now being summer rugby.

They put a new system back in when they relaid the pitch a few years ago.

Undersoil heating been on for 2 days and private contractors hired to clear the surrounding areas of the ground of snow that was 75 mm deep apparently.
Not sure what that is in proper money.

Unfortunately Gaskell offers absolutely nothing in attack. Our defence is bang on. 200 minutes of play with no point simply isn’t good enough.
