Not saying that it isn't a possibility, just that the infections and antibiotics seem to be only a Catalan thing aside from the player IWTID knows of. McNamara has lifted the lid so we should see th flood gates opened with complaints from all whoo have played on it without feeling the pressure of been singled out. |

Denis Betts would disagree and that was from 2015! He's not the only one either in recent times....seen a lot of posts on social media from fans of other teams saying the same but the Belle Vue pitch has been dreadful for a long time now and badly needed replacing. Was fantastic back in the day but hasn't been for many years....
It's not nice what's happening at present and something which hopefully changes pretty quick....I suffered similar years and years ago from a graze I got training on an artificial surface.....I kept on playing every week which wasn't quite long enough for it to heal so kept knocking the scab off before it ended up getting infected and resulted in a visit to a walk in centre with an ankle swelled up like a tennis ball... |

Carter by his own admission has said the old pitch wasn’t in great nick because of under investment. He admitted cutting the spending budget on it and as such it ultimately ended up cutting up more in winter. So they used extra sand on it to dry it out which meant in summer it was harder than it should be. It could have easily been remedied with extra money spent on it but we have now gone for the hope of the hybrid cash cow. |

It's a myth that we had one of the best pitches in SL. MC and the players are quite open about how bad it's been. |

I think what you mean is the 'best looking' playing surface, the pitch at most times was like concrete, and definately not the best in regards to underfoot |

Except the possible RFL fine for not fulfilling a fixture and maybe even the forfeiting of it you mean? Remember after some of the covid fiasco’s they got tougher on not completing fixtures, they could easily throw the book at us. |

Imo the sooner they get back on the horse the sooner we can get a resemblance of a competitive team . Training only gets you so far , and with new players and coach to pan in ,its game time not training time we need .

He’s right that the game should go ahead. Lets hope BV is passed fit to play but if not you’d like to think we’ve already made enquiries about alternative venues. Dewsbury don’t play until Sunday. I’m sure it could cope with with the mass hoards of travelling Huddersfield fans.

Can't help but agree. The comments I've seen from supporters, other clubs and the shear disregard the media have for us, plus the constant ty seasons, a spell in the championship might not be so bad.  |

Problem is I can’t ever see us been let back in if we go out of super league.
End of the day we’re not liked.
If only we could find a money man.
Current owners have taken as far as I can see them doing and that’s not a dig. Without them we’d be gone by now.
Amazing the pitch is now hated by others but Widnes never had got to have pitch inspections and that was just as bad to play on. Ours will be great in a few months.

Much the same and worse on any sporting media sites , at least RL fans can stand within touching distance without wanting to kill each other , which certainly can’t be said for our countries national game . Even the cricket has seen bloodshed on the streets . A few nameless , faceless vile human beings trolling certainly aren’t going to take away my or my families enjoyment of the game . I suggest those that find these silly comments too harrowing, just press the off button on your device ,and hey presto , it all Goes away like magic . |
