What did you think of the performance last night ?

Its not an individual thing. It's no good trying to pick out any players at fault, or blaming our recruitment or sending overseas players home to get some mythical better player from NRL, or even suddenly deciding the reserves or academy or so much better than the team that played.
Whatever the issue it affected the whole team. Whether that's fatigue or over confidence or tactics or just apathy, it's the same team we all thought was destined for greater things when we beat Warrington twice and hammered Salford in one half of rugby.
Cas were never as rubbish as people made out and they played well to dominate us and take advantage of our issues.

We need to freshen up where needed and get back on the horse.
It hurts losing to Cas, especially in that style but there are plenty more games to go and it's this team and this coach that will have to step it up.

Agree, but I still feel that we need another prop with a bit of 'grunt' -who that man is and is he available, can we afford etc, I dunno.

As for last nights debacle I thought it was embarrassing, but for me it stops at the gate on the way out, on reflection I could have found better things to do, but it is what it is and come Mondays game which I won't be attending as I no longer go to away games, If we do miraculously win which will have to have a complete turnaround it will go a long way to negate this negativity being shown on here, I asked George btw if he had seen you but hadn't, sorry for the long winded reply.

Insufficient quality in the front row in my opinion. Is it really seeking a ‘mythical player’ to not be able to find a better quality prop in reserve grade in the NRL? I don’t think so.

We’ve found Arona,Whitbread, Fifita etc why not another one to join them?

It’s an opinion something you rarely give but ask of others to justify theirs. I would be worried if the elusive George had seen me because I have said I cannot currently attend matches but that didn’t stop me buying a season ticket.
I think people have long ago realised your posts are designed to be inflammatory because you are just fishing as stated above by you (that must be why your hobby is keeping fish). Regarding last nights game, unlike you what's just had minor surgery removing a foot from your mouth and could not attend, I'm qualified to talk about last nights game, and before you try to twist things to your advantage let me say that I completely agree with what's been said on here, therefore there is little point in me adding to overwhelming criticism of individual players and the team in general, that's not my style squire, in fifteen years I've been on here I have never openly criticised a player and I'm not about to lower my standards to that of yours just to be on a par with you, congratulations btw on buying a season ticket, I'm sure we will hear about on many occasions before the seasons out.

I think you lack the necessary knowledge of Chissitt, he even confirms why he posts. His modus operandi is to question why a post is made whilst never giving one himself. Just watched the highlights.

Every try Cas scored was to the right of the posts or wide right. That right edge will really need to sort out their defence and quickly. We didn’t actually concede a single try on the left side.

From day one this season the only objective for my money was to ensure super league survival 11th place 10th at best but I struggled to see with the squad available and the woeful player recruitment and retention over the last 2-3 season who was going to finish below other than Toulouse and maybe Salford.
Trinity have a number of players who should have been offloaded a number of seasons ago.
Bill Tupou, Tinirau Arona, Marty Ashurst, in particular are all way past their best I am starting to wonder if Bill will ever play a decent run of games again.
Player recruitment has been appalling I struggle to see why the club needed Tom Lineham a good player 3-4 season ago came with baggage and it’s backfired with injury Liam Hood, Lee Gaskell are also complete mysteries to me simply awful signings for a club with limited finances.
Jai Whitebread dose not warrant an overseas quota spot a panic buy at best.
The pack is woefully out gunned by most clubs in the front row we have one out and out super league quality prop in David Fifita Eddie Battye gives 100% and is a quality championship player.

That said with 6 points from 8 games I would have taken that on the opening day of the season.
And if Super League survival is achieved this season with a decent crop of players coming through seasons to come could bring more optimism.

One last point Greg Eden once in our academy was he ever offered a contract if not why not he was always a stand out player in the Academy.

Well just watched Hull FC play just as badly as us, get stitched up by the ref and also play a ball with no one ready and the opposition ran round and got possession. It was like reliving a nightmare.

Don’t get your point regarding players retention? Apart from Westerman who have we not retained?

The knock on the ref gave against the Hull player when the ball went backwards was a bad one especially when K R scored from the scrum

As already mentioned by many on here, a bad night at the office. Fortunately for us theres 21 games to go to try and win. We all know its going to be an uphill struggle , buts its not as though this is the first time its happened to us in superleague. Every season we are written off and we`ve still avoided the drop. One day it will probably catch us up, but we`ve been in this league more seasons than the likes of Bradford Bulls and continuously longer than Cas and Shudds. So have a rant at the result but remember, this club as been punching well above its weight for the last 23 years.
Finally why have a forum if its only to have a personal spat with someone who is probably stood a few metres from you shouting for the same team.
