I enjoyed the coverage and game

The coverage was great and I got a lot more enjoyment out of it then I do watching SKY games.

That couple of hours coverage on Channel 4 has done more for the game than SKY have in the last decade. It really did put SKY to shame.

Getting Adam Hills as the 'anchorman' was a masterstroke. He may be first and foremost an entertainer but he's got a solid knowledge and interest in the game and has very wide appeal.
Mark Wilson couldn't have sounded any more enthusiastic and Kyle Amor must have been getting some serious media training. He sounded like an accomplished commentator!

It was helped by the fact the game had a lot of action, but I thought it was superb. Regarding the game, it didn't feel like the first of the season for those two teams. Felt more like a play-off game. Great stuff all round.

Going to bring myself back down to earth now with a bit of Wales Vs Scotland in the Six Nations. Might even get 40 winks in between scrums.

Sky completely changed coverage of Rugby League but they've been taking it easy with no competition for a while now. Not any more.

Didn't see the build up as we were out, so watched it from recording instead and I have to agree that, other than being a bit clunky after the post-match interviews, the coverage was otherwise excellent

Yeah. The technical recaps, graphics and video montages were a bit basic but it was Channel 4's first game. Sky have had over two decades of practise. A very minor gripe, plus I work in graphics so I was probably over analysing!

Was thinking more of Hills' TBH...he seemed to lose the thread when they were showing the tries from last night's games and couldn't decide who he wanted from the pundits present to comment on them but I don't want to sound over-critical as, for their first game, I thought it was a very good effort from Channel 4

Adam Hills did seem to sound like the highlights had been sprung on him. Again, this is where Sky's decades of experience is at an advantage. Their highlights montages would have been supplied with over-dubbed commentary.

The comments about the post match stuff are correct but it didn't make a difference to my enjoyment.
I quite liked the fact that they could handle it even though it went a little bit wrong.
