Of course they are EB, but I cannot think for a minute that there isn't a game plan ? do the players stick to it on the field?
Are some of the players not playing to the plan because they shouldn't be on the field in the first place?
You say he got himself into that situation, but he hasn't has he, the injuries and Covid are beyond his control.
If these were normal times and we had relatively few injuries I'd look differently. I wish Willie Poching was here now because, clearly, from the interview, I saw a coach who needs some help but first and foremost we need a full squad of fit players who want to play for WT.

I agree, he's just making excuses now. Anyone can see that if he just put some effort into going out and developing a cure for Covid we'd be tons better off. What rugby coach worth his salt couldn't do that in a couple of days???
Just to be clear, I might be being a tiny bit sarcastic!!

Anyone with any knowledge knows there is something fundamentally wrong within the team, you can make excuses as much as you like but 5/31 and a 15 per cent win ratio says different. For goodness sake wake up if the fans can see it ex players can see it ex coaches can see it why can’t the management. If you think Sam Williams or Drinkwater are going to make a difference your mistaken. The whole set up needs sorting, the fitness, the shape, the structure, the game plan which as been worked out but above all we need a pack of forwards to at least get parity with the opposition. we’re on the slippery slope and unless things change we’ve had it.

I'm not saying that I think Chester is blameless, clearly there are things that should be within his control to change, however to lay the blame for everything at his door is just ridiculous.
Having half of your team taken away from you midweek is hardly something that you can prepare for.

I dont disagree with you other than, having an on field organiser who is setting up plays and communication to the players where he wants them has been lacking (badly) for a couple of seasons.
Brough could do the job but was knocking on a bit and injured for most of the time he as here and every other HB that we've had have been support players, not organisers.
There does look to be a total lack of structure and at times a total lack of desire in defence.
There is no doubt that life is nigh on impossible at the moment, with the effects of covid.
Mind you, we weren't that great last season so, some of the excuses dont quite work.

........but yet last week we picked the same 17 as the previous game, we had more time to prepare than the opposition who were playing their 3rd game in 8 days, and we were truly awful, again?! The other week Leeds lost 6 players from their 17, 24 hours before they were due to play, yet they won. Hull put in a creditable performance last night only finding out they were actually playing at all less than 24 hours before the fixture was due to take place?! Too much self pity for me, let's not forget it was Chester himself who said we were rubbish, but yet when fans criticise then the chairman has a pop?!

This is the one where Chester is to blame IMHO.
He has clearly stated that he thinks Jowitt could be an H/B and that Baily is a future SL H/B. Yet his deeds have not even come close to matching his deeds. Rocky should be F/B, his best position. Bailey and Jowitt should be playing alongside Miller, Bailey to start, Jowitt from the Bench where he can cover FB and all the backline. Crowther as back up S/R or Hooker. The two Wood's to alternate per game.
Under normal circumstances, CC couldn't do this but with no relegation he can, he just seems to lack the guts and imagination and I think it is this as much as the results that baffle most fans. Can anyone really argue that Chester has given either Jowitt or Bailey a real go? Idon't and when you consider how many second chances Miller has recieved whilst we still wait for anything close to a good game from Gigot it truly disheartening.
Being experimental for the long term but losing is nowhere near as soul-destroying as seeing a load of players at the butt end of their careers continually getting picked and continually not doing any better. That's how I see it.

It absolutely does say it all. It says the team we are putting out on the field isn't good enough to win, for all those reasons above.

How do you know?
One thing for sure, Jowitt has but as far as I recall only started once at HB. Like you, I'm of the reasonable persuasion where Chester's so-called failings have been but you have to accept the glaring ones

I'm not resuming anything, neither Jowitt nor Bailey have been injured. I'm not sure how many times they have been unavailable though COVID but some players have managed a fair few games since the return after lockdown, Jowitt being one. Yet he's only played as the named HB once as I recall, and I find it hard to believe that Bailey hasn't been available more than twice.
I really do think CC could have given those two in particular far more of a run, especially as it's a position where the club clearly feels it is lacking, so whats to lose.

Funny I think the opposite. I don't think he sticks with players. Regardless of injury he chops and changes far too much. He seems to have the mentality that he'd rather play an SR at hooker or a FB on the wing rather than give a player who's actual position it is but is lower down the pecking order a chance.
As for Senior, I despair, nothing wrong with the lad but unless we are in the market to sign him then why are we giving him valuable game time when young Academy players could have a go.
As I've stated, in normal times you can't do that but this season you can, yet we seem happy to give a Hudds player valuable experience, madness.

What about the period prior to the lockdown how do you explain the 5 wins out of 22 or am I missing the obvious which is Chester is dragging the club down.
If you could tell us at which point we start to worry because if he stays in situ for the start of next season and based on his recent record we struggle any new coach will have little chance to change the squad.

Did he say that? However Bailey needs more than one game to get himself moving.
Seeing as we have absolutely nothing to play for I would say Now’s the time. We certainly won’t be able to take such risks next season. Just a thought.
