Got admit that comment had me wondering if we're talking about the same player. FTR he played 28 games last season, scoring 8 tries and steadily improved as the season went on imo.

Yeah, he started a bit slow last season but that's not unusual for an NRL player and yeah his tacking technique can get a little awkward looking at times. But for me from about halfway on or so last season he offered us plenty and gave us that X-factor in the go forward that only really Fifita can do.

I was actually looking forward to how he'd go with a full injury-free preseason behind him, with the coaching team working on his fitness more for the interchange rule change, but it's gonna after wait a few months.

I thought he had a poor game against Cats at home in the regular rounds, but after that he improved every game.

He had a terrible game against Warrington end of last seaon but mostly he played well and who doesn’t have the odd off day.

You really are thick aren't you, you might want to read a little, I said that they play ont the other side of the city to Gateshead, now to break that down for your tiny little brain, the city referred to is the city of Newcastle (as in newcastle thunder) Gateshead is one side of that's city and Kingston park (where "Newcastle" thunder play) is the other side of the city, now get an early night and don't be late for school in the morning

Tackling yes. Fitness you’re way off imho, you want size you lose stamina it’s a law of nature. PP plays in bursts as all big lads do, he’s fit enough for the job he does. This is becoming yet another negative Trinity fan myth. Look at the Burgess twins, neither do any more than PP stamina wise.

Tbh I think he did a couple 80-minute games, can't remember which ones. I remember it being mentioned at the time by a few and even since then it's been pointed out when others had been doubting the fitness of Fifita and Pauli on the VT.

Agree with that and said it myself. If you want huge x-factor blockbusting props, they're generally not going to be as fit as say smaller props or backrowers. Pauli's legs alone must weight 12 stone - you slim him down you may get another 10 minutes a game if needed but will he be anywhere near as destructive, I very much doubt it. Like you say the twins are a great example, plus others in the NRL like Kasiano, Boyd and Junior Paulo, all 19/19.5 stone.

He broke his fibula in the July before he joined us, so it was no surprise that he didn't start in great shape because he will still most probably been rehabbing going into preseason and behind everyone else and CC will have known & seen this, so I doubt there was any stern talking to, just a gradual improvement in fitness imo. When he broke his leg he was only just back playing after the Motorway pile up he was involved in, that resulted in a dislocated hip, so just about a full season off with serious injuries. IMO he did a great job getting back to play Pro RL full stop, let alone just about getting back to the player he was pre-injuries.

Seems there's a couple of rumors going around about the bloke that are nothing more than that.
